Doesn't look like they will need a points buffer for the rest of the league though. Is he good enough to start? would be a big call. Super sub role I would think as Slot needs to bed in some sort of cutting edge from elsewhere if Salah is not scoring. So looking forward to Champs league.
He's probably finished under Slot either way, he's overly emotional and loses confidence too easily. The complete opposite of what you want in a composed finisher, under a ruthless coach with a controlling playstyle. But you could see why Klopp would want a player like that to suit his emotional football built around transitions.

All the issues I raised and listed several weeks ago remain unresolved and they've allowed them to worsen, so the mood around the club is not as great as it should be considering the standings.

An average player with striker's instincts would suffice for Slot against these low blocks, but unfortunately this clashes with the club's penny-pinching policy! They're far too busy lowballing their stars with contract offers.
Agreed. Darwin didn't have a good game at all IMO. The only impressive thing I remember him doing was the way he took the second goal, but you would have expected any decent striker to score. He wasted several chances by shooting high into the crowd from distance, and should have had 2 or even 3 yellow cards.
There was a debate Haaland vs Nunez who will be better when they both signed? I think we know the answer now. The club is lucky that Slot is delivering on the pitch and Arsenal are being Arsenal/City are frazzled considering the mismanagement of the contract offers.

Incredible goalline clearance for Forest hanging on 3-2 v Saints.

Everton also pulled back to 3-2.

Plenty of goals today.

If Postecoglou turns Spurs around it will be a miracle.
He looks to me like he's homesick and wants the paycheck. I wouldn't blame him. The players and Levy have let him down. But he's the "manager". So that's all aspects. Tactics..blah, blah. Player management has never been so important. And Spurs have gone - utterly.

Spurs are also top of the injury table with 12 players out atm, the defence has been particularly devastated where only the leftback Porro remains fit

Saw their injured 11 lineup before the last match

Really tricky to judge managers under these circumstances, they aren't without blame but the league is so incredibly competitive that minor setbacks can seemingly snowball into extreme consequences. The fans thus far are ripping into Levy as usual.

I think Amorim's struggles with United are also in a way a testament to the strength of the league. You can't simply parachute a manager in midway through the season without the benefit of a pre-season or a transfer window and always expect instant results.

Have to agree with Goldbridge there, INEOS not giving the new coach a clean slate sounds like a flawed approach given their recent history of going through numerous coaches.

Credit to Amorim for his transparency and for not throwing out excuses but the main question that pops up is can they survive this moment until summer : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV2ddKVgAIE

Not so sure they will, it's a bit like watching a favourite's price crashing and crashing and wondering where the hell is it going to bottom out

Amorim and Postecoglou look finished to me. Both slagging off their team. Er.....it's your team that you signed a big fat deal to manage. Go manage!!
United are in disarray. What is going on there baffles me. Some say the entire squad is useless. Impossible. 4th or 5th most expensive squad is now 13th.
What a bunch of slackers.

Quick VAR exchange question relating to tonight's Chelsea Wolves game -

When Chelsea scored and was ruled offside by linesman, then overturned and given as a goal by VAR - shouldnt the bets made after the goal but before VAR intervention have been voided?

Sorry for replying to my own post but it looks like bets wouldn't be voided based on the below BF rule - even if the goal was initially ruled out by on-field officials - is that correct?

If a goal is scored and then confirmed after a VAR review, no voiding will take place.

See what Man City are made of tonight not quite must win but it's not far off. Be interesting to see how they start the game.

City almost certainly only need 2 or 3 points and they still have to play Brugge at home.

PSG unbeaten all season outside of champions league. They need the win more than City.

Draw looks a good price at 3.75.
