Hi, am hoping for some help.
Betfair have told me I am getting a substantial number of "BET_TAKEN_OR_LAPSED' errors during in play horse racing markets. They say the most likely reason is that the automation rule is trying to cancel a bet that has already been matched. It is causing my transactions to skyrocket causing transaction fees.
Has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it?

I went over transactions once. I knew I had, as I was experimenting with some high transaction automations. I asked Betfair for a breakdown of the charge and all they sent me was a generic sounding "The charge was dominated by failed transactions, specifically with the error code “BET_TAKEN_OR_LAPSED”.
This was definitely not the case for me, mine was made only of bets and successful cancellations. So if you're going on the exact same line from Betfair then take it with a pinch of salt, it might not be factual.

Try using a stored value that increments by 1 every time a bet is triggered, or a bet is cancelled. Then compare this stored value to the Bet Angel Tx count.
If you're still using an old version of Bet Angel then you can also use this stored value to stop the automation from further triggers when it gets close to the limit. (In the latest beta release 1.62 you can save the Tx count as a stored value and use this instead.)

Hi,
I have noticed this afternoon that bet angel is late in detecting the start of Australian horse races. Betfair is turning the market inplay at the correct time but there is a delay of up to 10 seconds for bet angel to detect it. It then goes inplay and starts the automation process. Anyone else noticed this? Is it new? It's a problem.

Bet Angel is installed on your local PC and connects directly to Betfairs servers and retrieves all its data from theirgavla1972 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 6:31 amHi,

First make sure your PC clock is sync'd and correct, you may also have intermittent issues with your connection
It is possibly a refresh issue.gavla1972 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 6:31 amHi,
