I could't help to notice how much more value there is in an match involving India, which can further light on liquidity in cricket games.
Today New Zealand beat India, however earlier on in the match New Zealand were 2/178 on the 33rd over and trading at 1.75, such prices are ridiculous considering they beat India last week and they were projected to reach a score of 300 or more.
Power of the Indian punter
Betfair is a peanut, compared to the depth of the Indian markets .. like 1/100th ..
Indians love to bet on ckt, and have definate tendencies, which can influence mkt behaviour.
If u watch long enough, u will spot some, and maybe find some wining strategies.

It's possible India have given up on Test Ckt .. Or at least, their players are now becoming moulded into ODI/T20 specialists, as that's where the money is.
As bad as they were in the tests, England were as bad in the ODI.
I like Roy's inclusion in the T20 team .. And would like to back Eng today, but, 2.20 doesn't seem quite big enough.
Would take 2.3 or so.

I am not disagreeing .. But values in what sense ?
India run multiple dedicated cricket channels, 24/7 .. They are not doing this for fun, advertisers pay the big bucks, cos it's what the nation wants to watch.
England normally get pretty full grounds, despite charging the absolute earth .. Went to the ODI final, between Aus and S.Africa in Zimbabwe yesterday .. Cost £1.
It's hard to put value on stuff .. Generally the market sorts it out.

I am not really sure what u are trying to argue.
The indian mkt is skewed, sure, but its skewed in mutiple ways, and then biased by views of a couple of v large traders (Mr Lumpy).
I am not disagreeing with u .. there are definate points, where the price is 'wrong', and needs to be backed/laid .. but, in doing so, u have to be prepared to hold the position for a decent amount of time.
Normally, the mkt, stays 'wrong' for quite a while.

Market Overreaction to Recent Form – Even though New Zealand had beaten India recently, the market may have still been pricing in India's historical dominance rather than the current match situation.burdo77 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2014 1:33 pmI could't help to notice how much more value there is in an match involving India, which can further light on liquidity in cricket games Geometry Dash

I was chatting to a v deep in-play trader who assesses India as always being 5% under-priced (they 1.6 when they should be 1.65).
But having said that, everything at these major events (pitches/hotels/travel time of teams, media commitments etc) is in their favour.
I would be a backer of India at 1.6 v Aus.
