Very good job of you to elaborateForFolksSake wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 5:13 pmThere are so many other relevant questions to ask that you are not asking![]()

For some more context I have recently updated my pricing algo for jumps, a lot more confident in its accuracy I have become more aggressive in staking (getting closer to Kelly) PNL becomes a bit more volatile but considerably more profitable.
Only expecting a decent win like this maybe once a season however it happened twice over the weekend, both times at Newbury.

I guess that explains the £8.70 "matched"

This isn't so pretty though, 38th straight month down vs the same month in the previous year.
The decay looked like it was slowing but Jan and Feb have been back to the previous 15-20% reductions.
Half the size it was 4yrs ago.
Pre-race In running

Joint efforts between a few things... They need to remarket themselves to suit the new generation style and step up their game, to actually bring down the commission charge, the prev gens are knocking on the door and also no one has any money since the pandemic.

And even if people do have money they can't deposit it anyway, I can only deposit £100 p/m, if I were to lose my Betfair bank then I wouldn't be able to come back, its ridiculous.Emtaxx wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 9:40 amJoint efforts between a few things... Isn't the £100 limit only the arbitrary value for those who refuse to cooperate with a proof of income request?Naffman wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 10:19 amAnd even if people do have money they can't deposit it anyway, I can only deposit £100 p/m, if I were to lose my Betfair bank then I wouldn't be able to come back, its ridiculous.Emtaxx wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 9:40 amJoint efforts between a few things... Yes but how are you meant to get that increased unless you give statements etc that many will not give, and if you’re doing this full time you’re also screwed unless you have a large pot of investments making income elsewhere.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 10:57 amIsn't the £100 limit only the arbitrary value for those who refuse to cooperate with a proof of income request?Naffman wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 10:19 amAnd even if people do have money they can't deposit it anyway, I can only deposit £100 p/m, if I were to lose my Betfair bank then I wouldn't be able to come back, its ridiculous.Emtaxx wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 9:40 amJoint efforts between a few things... I don't think it's been going long enough to tell, and I haven't got comparable stats for other sports so I don't know how's it's affected them.
Betfair can't do anything about the proof of income checks, that's an industry wide issue caused by the GC.

An exchange is way more expensive to run than a bookmaker so they need to generate the income somewhere. Fees feel harsh but bookies charge it via the 30% overrounds on winners and losers, vs the 0% Betfair overround and fees just on the winners.
