Unable to select GPU for BetAngel

I've just beefed up my laptop by adding an eGPU. I wanted to set it up so that BetAngel runs on that instead of my crappy on-board GPU.

For every other app, I can go to my graphics settings (Windows 11) and either select high performance or a specific GPU. With BetAngel, I can select it but the choice isn't respected - it just keeps using the on-board graphics.

What can I do to overcome this?

Have you tried disabling the onboard graphics in the BIOS?

OK, I am dumb

For some reason I had assumed I wouldn't be able to do that as it's the Intel UHD Graphics that's integrated into the CPU, but evidently it's perfectly possible, even by simply doing it in Device Manager.

Job done, thanks!

It was fresh in my memory, I upgraded to i7-14700k last month so I've been in and out of bios and settings a lot. Although tbh I don't remember any issues so long as my monitors were plugged into the gpu not the rear panel.

Why did I not know this feature even existed - been wondering about using GPU for some other stuff ! Thank you.
