My machine isn't good enough to do long screen recordings. I am not sure I am able to set it up even if it was.
I heard that some people record the ladders all day. Has anyone done that recently? if so i would be interested in buying a video to watch. I want to watch hours of video without trading to see if i can see where i am going wrong by comparing what I would have done with what ended up happening.
I dont suppose anyone knows of anyone who does this and could provide me some videos?
Does anyone have videos of markets I can buy/use?

Most of the screen recording freeware lets you specify clip durations, starting a new vid every 30 or 60 mins might help if long recording are a problem.
The issue you'll find is that you'd need a Switch View rule in Guardian, and some way to centre the ladders.

You can autocentre the ladders via the ladder settings editorShaunWhite wrote: ↑Mon Mar 24, 2025 5:34 pmMost of the screen recording freeware lets you specify clip durations, starting a new vid every 30 or 60 mins might help if long recording are a problem.

OBS uses very little system resource and is entirely free, you may need to use an older version of the software as some of the newer versions don't support older architecture
All historic versions are available via their website.
I have a pre-historic laptop thats about 18 years old recording data and nothing else.
Auto-centering is done via a rule that triggers every 10 seconds.
Rule Type = "Display a market on a trading screen", under parameters section select "this market" and display on "the main ladder screen"

And if your machine isn't capable of doing a days worth of recording I'd consider getting a new laptop/desktop.
The fact an 18 year old machine is capable of doing it then anything should in theory be capable of doing it (barring pre-pentium processor aka 486 and downwards)
If space is an issue you can also convert the format it records in to a much less spacious format using 'Handbrake' which again is free and allows you to convert from one video format to another.

V good tool to record your screen and uploads the video to a cloud.
I use it a lot and really like it.
Think it has a free trial.

I take it nobody knows of any videos available.
Buying and setting up a new machine for this purpose will take a fair bit of time and i have very little spare. Same goes for cash. So I thought I'd ask. I have some old laptops that would probably do the job, i can't use the machine I am trading on as i just want totally static screen recording without any trading or mouse movements going on. it does also make the fan sound like a jet engine and my racing feed starts jerking etc.
I just want the ladders with some charts displayed at bottom, hours and hours of it to run on high speed and see if i can spot things to focus on. Just hoped someone might have some recent videos they could share as it seems many people do it.

Recording data, or recording decent resolution video?
What about a vps? Don't know if they're any good for quality video but saves you new laptop + overheating + electric bill headache.Blondie wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 2:24 pmI take it nobody knows of any videos available.

Quality is adequate, but it's a server not a gaming machine. They don't waste much cpu on graphics when most users aren't even looking at a screen. The usual use is as a Web server not as a remote telly.
