@FirsLandFarm

So some private school numbers are starting to come out (private moving to state) but to be honest I really can't make anything of them. Maybe more data is required...

I did however get wound up at one case where, when in private, the parents picked up travel to school costs but when switched to state they asked (and got) the council to meet the £8k per annum cost of travel.

mmmmmm....

Certainly seem to be a lot of unhappy folk around...

Councils are required by law to offer free transport to school-age children if their nearest “suitable” school is more than three miles away (two miles if they are under the age of eight), or they are not able to walk there safely.

“Providing transport for those in real need is one thing, but shelling out tens of thousands for trips of less than a mile and for those that are not in need is an absurd use of public money.”

All this hassle and disruption to a child's education to satisfy some smug sanctimonious jealousy! I hope the Public Schools score some wins with their court action.

PMSL when I heard that apparently every one of the Government's in-court legal team went to public school!!

I know some don't want to be reminded of some things but did Sir Keir, yesterday, get 623 reasons to smash the gangs?!

Labour/Tories for the last 25 years have been a complete waste of time and a disaster for the UK

Going to have to wait till Farage and Reform take over to sort the mess out

My concern is that Reform will run out of steam in 4 years time and it gives Labour 4 years to talk about doing things that won't get done. Also Labour have shown that you can put whatever you like in your manifesto or say whatever you want in your campaigning and forget about it once you win the votes.

As for another 700 reasons to "smash the gangs" yesterday (or maybe we misheard him, maybe he said "smash the records"!!). The problem is there is no deterrent. We were building one under the Conservatives but Labour and other parties, the wokerarti and the LLs of the legal profession (and Gary Liniker :D ) did their best to prevent it from being applied. Then Labour wasted millions by cancelling the scheme with nothing to replace it.

I was going to say "saved" billions by cancelling it but then remembered the tories never funded it in the 1st place )

On reflection, would it not be best to identify good policies & bad policies and whether or not they are effectively implemented rather than have a right wing / left wing argument over it?

(neither has a monopoly on competence or good policies)

...it's all about demand and supply - imo they need to deter the people wanting to be trafficked more than the gangs providing the 'service'.

The 'service' will vanish without paying customers!

ways to deter paying customers?

1) anyone caught entering illegally will be held in an army controlled segregated basic camp area. No niceties, no visitors, only very basic rations. They will never be allowed to mingle at any time with the general public - they will be incarcerated in army camps until deportation which having entered illegally will be a 100% deportation guarantee.

2) fill the channel with great white sharks and keep re-filling with the same.

3) as such absolutely no hotels or UC payouts to anyone entering the country illegally

We are seeing now the price of not having a deterrent and that's billions each year. No deterrent means the gangs can sell their service with the punchline "after we get you across the Channel they feed and clothe you, they put you up in nice accommodation and they even give you spending money. They never deport you, look how many brothers have successfully stopped them from being deported, it's a one way ticket not to freedom but to free life"! And it's not Left or Right Wing, it's whatever party is in Government. The Conservatives before were no better except they tried, this Government are not even trying. Punchlines won't deter the boat crossings. It has to be made that being returned costs more than the getting here but first we have to return them.

Tuco is right, stop treating them like guests to our country, treat them as the gate-crashing illegal immigrants they are (though I can't be cruel to great whites ... the water is too cold causing them to suffer! :) )

I wonder what the excuse is for this guy being here ... can you see his poverty? and there are many other videos of a similar nature where they show complete disrespect for us. British taxpayers are paying for this!

He could be singing about anything but obviously GBNews will try and spin it so the thick Reform voters think he's mocking taxpayers. In his situation we'd all do the same and go where the money is, good luck to him.
