Hi Dallas

Woud it be possible to place back bets on a few different runners in-play, and have the dob with moving exit apply to those runners? Without nominating them before hand. I'm guessing the matched price would have to be stored and the "exit" and "new exit" be calculated from that somehow?

Many thanks
Do you mean manually place back bets?
If not what way would you be using to select the runners?

Yes, manually. So manually place back bets in-running. Then waiting for the price to (hopefully) shorten, for the dob with moving exit to apply.

Will this affect my open positions on other selections?

Every bet you place will effect the P/L other all other selections in the market

Hi I would like to add a stop loss to this after the first back bet.

I've made it into a servant so what is the best way to implement the stop loss and would I have to put the stop loss rule directly after the place back bet rule in the order of the rules?

Any help would be much appreciated Dallas.

Thank you.

On the Stored value tab of the back bet rule create another stored value to store the price 'plus (whatever ticks or percent you want the stop to trigger at)

Then add another green up rule with a Stored value condition to test the price is greater the stored value you just created

Been testing this out today and it's pretty good but I'm finding spikes will green you up a little too early leaving you with less profit then you could have when the horse goes on to win.

Anyone found any good ways or ideas to stop the exit from triggering during a spike in the odds?

Still been trying different tweaks with this and having some good results.

Just wondered if it's possible to set it to hedge for a portion of the green and leave the rest of it to "ride" if the horse goes onto win?

For example,
Back a runner at odds of 6 for £10, the odds come down and the moving exit kicks in, I'm looking at a total profit of £50 at this point as long as the odds continue to fall, if I say hit a green figure of £30, could I cash out here and let the rest of the profit ride for effectively a free bet?
If the horse loses I've made my profit but if it wins I make a bit more.
Not sure if this is possible but thanks for any help.

Hi Dallas I've modified this servant a little and sometimes I'll click on the "trade profit" button on the one click screen to green up if I'm happy with the profit when the servant is active.

However it seems if I do this after I've used the servant to place the back bet, after greening up with the trade profit button the servant will still then place a lay bet to exit the trade if the odds go back out?

Is there anyway I can prevent this please?

I've tried setting a condition where it will only green up on the rule if just 1 bet has been matched but this appears to prevent me using the servant again on the same selection for the second time in the race?

Thanks

Rather than use the 'Trade Profit' column to green up you'll need to create another Servant which does exactly the same and use a custom column to start the servant.
As part of the criteria for this Servant you need to add a
Stop all other Servants on this selection rule
and on the Stored Value tab clear the stored values set by the previous servant

That way when you run the servant a second time it will be starting a fresh

Hi all, how would I be able to set a rule so when the Green Up Selection conditions are due to trigger it checks if the lay price is not greater than the initial back price that was matched before going in play. If greater it lets the bet run, but if less then it greens up? Any assistance is appreciated.

Easiest way would be to add a 'Close Trade Profit' condition with the Greening option ticked
To test the profit is greater than £0
