Will be interesting how Betfair settle the completed match market on the IPL.
From memory they voided a completed match market years ago when it was floodlight failure.
This could even be down to the on going conflict.

They’ve voided the market, I’m afraid. I’ve wasted my afternoon. ☹️

Crikey, didn't reckon they'd chuck out the IPL floodlight stuff-up, eh?

Yeah, the ol' pill bounced me way. Lucky break, that was.

Reckon one good reason they go hard on the in-play for the big matches is probably to stop those courtsiders chuckin' their bets on the coin toss, eh?

Smart buggers.

Och, well, at least it wasn’t universally bad news. 😀

Not sure what was going on in the 1st race at Laurel. The winner wore the 1A saddle cloth but was listed as horse 12 on Betfair.
Belmont R6, horse 1a incorrectly listed as horse 10 by Betfair.

I've not seen this error once in 8 years, then suddenly two come along in a couple of weeks, with rumours out there that there has been more.

Betfair changed a process somewhere perhaps?

Bet365 making the same error. Must be some sort of industry data feed issue. I wonder how this gets investigated and fixed?

My recent bugbear is markets being loaded late by BF.

Example...AUS racing; usually the following days meetings & races can be loaded into Guardian by 9am-10am BST. This has been the case for me in the last 5 years, with no issues.

However, yesterday I waited until 10pm last night and Hobart & Port Augusta were still not available (both meetings were on).

Today, at time of typing (12.30pm), Murwillumbah has still not been loaded.

I hope this is not a trend unless anyone knows why?

01:01:39,Markets returned: 30 (added Newcastle & Canberra)
01:31:43,Markets returned: 39 (added Globe Derby)
03:01:56,Markets returned: 48 (added Pinjarra)

(I refresh every 30min so timings are approx)

paspuggie, Murwillumbah was abandoned early.

I'm in Oz. I load my gallop markets each morning. If I load very early, I may not get the WA markets as they will not be finalised yet. The Pace and Trot markets are never available until around 10am Oz time (1 am London time now, 11pm in your winter).

That would be consistent with your timings Shaun. Newcastle and Canberra are both harness meetings so are at 10am my time, 1am yours. Globe Derby is in SA which is 30 minutes behind the East Coast. Pinjarra is in WA so 2 hrs behind (3 hrs in our summer).

Shaun: I don't load Trot or Pace races, just horse racing bud 8-)

Bob: go figure that one would be abandoned and would explain why it wasn't available :)

I use Racing And Sports to get some data for the following days Oz horse races, then by 9am-10am those races are available to load in Guardian.

For example, I'll get data from RiS for 13th May meetings at MOE (VIC), TAREE (NSW), WELLINGTON (NSW), ROCKHAMPTON (QLD). By 10am today (12th May) they will be available to load into Guardian.

Maybe it was just a one off for those 2 meetings the other day, I just feared a trend was going to set in

Does anybody know why this happens? Turning it In play a few seconds late I can understand, but a full race happening without someone noticing.....

Is it automated, or is it somebody's job to manually turn an event in play?
