I went through the complaints at Betfair
With this message:

I laid Highland Crystal for £100 my lay was taken at Nass 13.05 in Bet Angel I was watching it closely when the screen went To 0.00 on all horses as though I had not placed a bet. So I went to my betfair account Same there all on zero as though not placed a lay bet. Then I went to my betting activity. I was £39 down it said I had bet sober glory in the 13.00 Newbury. I did not back sober glory in any way or form my hundred pound lay. Was on Highland. Crystal. What scares me if I would’ve laid a horse with high odds. This is not on I’m £39 down and I definitely didn’t back. The horse what you said. I have never made a complaint before and I love betfair this is scary can you please help me?

I’ve really enjoyed being on this forum since I retired and I always thought that Betfair was the respectable site.
I have no other option, other than to close my account in betfair. It’s not just a £39 if something like this happened today it could happen in the future with a much larger consequence.
I definitely laid Highland crystal for £100 at odds around 1.44. In
Bet Angel and my bet was definitely taken I was watching this in bet Angel waiting to green up if the odds went in a different direction then all of a sudden all the horses went 0.00 as though not placed a bet.
I’m gutted.

After speaking to several different people in Betfair going round in circles
They said they’re not questioning my i integrity they can only go off what they see on their screens

Without wishing to offend, it's far far more likely that you are responsible for the error than Betfair or Bet Angel.

Perhaps you had the wrong market open? Both horses were number 1. What do your Bet Angel logs say?

Try to avoid closing your Betfair account as this could have significant consequences for your future ability to bet with any of the Flutter group.

Just check you log in Bet Angel, it will confirm all your activity, have bet reference id etc etc
Even if you've logged out they are saved so you'll be able to access it.

I know what you’re saying, James, I’m clocking on in years but I’m definitely not senileThis definitely happened and I’m not dreaming it. I definitely did not place £100 bet on sober glory. I placed £100 lay on Highland crystal and no other back bets for £10. I don’t care what the log says I wasn’t even in that race. This is definitely a glitch somewhere.

Judging from the exactness of timings of your market switches, presumably you have Bet Angel set to switch markets automatically 5 mins before the scheduled off time.
Therefore it makes logical sense that your bets were placed on Sober Glory in the 13:00 @ Newbury, then when you thought you saw the P&L change to zeros it was actually Bet Angel flicking over automatically at 13:00 to the Naas 13:05 market. Both horses were in the same position 1 in their respective markets, both in Betfair row and racecard order.

Personally, the auto market switch function is a setting that I always have switched off to avoid exactly this type of confusion.

To disable it go into Guardian and in the top right corner untick the 'Automatically Switch Bet Angel market' box
Guardian.png

Then go back on to your main desktop screen an in the top left corner click
Settings > Save settings

To re-save your settings profile, if you use more than one setting profile you may have it enabled on those as well so its worth double checking all of them
