I have been creating horse racing ratings for Victoria and NSW.

example below

RACE 1 – CAULFIELD (20 DECEMBER 2025)
RACE ANALYSIS
TOUCHDOWN (4)
Rating: 78 | Peak: 84 | Performance Edge: +4.2 | Ceiling Edge: +5.0
A lightly raced gelding who is trending sharply the right way, having put space on his rivals in consecutive wins. He
showed authority at the mile two runs back before repeating the dose here last start with sustained strength through
the line. His ratings profile suggests he is still building toward his ceiling rather than plateauing. The ability to absorb
pressure and keep extending is a major asset in this grade. Maps to get a clean stalking run and, if he maintains his
recent progression, he sets the standard again. Clear top-rated runner on both current and peak measures.

SIGIRIYA ROCK (3)
Rating: 75 | Peak: 81 | Performance Edge: +3.1 | Ceiling Edge: +3.8
Has been racing consistently without winning, but the form around him remains solid. His last two efforts suggest he
is holding his shape well against comparable opposition, just lacking the final knockout punch. Drawn to potentially
adopt a more assertive role, which could see him control the race shape if he rolls forward early. His peak rating
keeps him firmly in the contest if things fall his way. Needs to dictate or sit outside the leader to maximise his
chance.

TRAPALANDA (5)
Rating: 73 | Peak: 80 | Performance Edge: +3.0 | Ceiling Edge: +4.1
Returned in excellent order at Ballarat, producing a strong first-up run that suggested he had come back more
furnished. The extra distance is a clear positive given his sustained closing sectionals, and his peak rating hints
there is improvement still to come second-up. Likely to settle midfield and build momentum rather than sprint
sharply. If the tempo is genuine, his strength late could see him loom as a serious threat. One of the better upside
profiles in the race.

ASEVENTY SEVEN (7)
Rating: 71 | Peak: 76 | Performance Edge: +2.4 | Ceiling Edge: +2.9
Steps up in grade but brings honest recent form and a reliable work rate. He has been finding the line well without
winning, indicating his fitness base is solid. While his ratings sit slightly below the main hopes, his consistency and
tactical versatility keep him in the mix for minor money. Likely to be prominent without overdoing it early. Needs
others to underperform to threaten for the win but profiles as a sound exotics runner.
NAINA (8)
Rating: 69 | Peak: 75 | Performance Edge: +2.1 | Ceiling Edge: +3.0
Forgive her last run where she failed to fire, as it followed a performance that showed genuine promise. Her peak
rating comes from that earlier win, which suggests she can be competitive if she rebounds to that level. The key is
whether she can re-establish rhythm early in the run. Likely to be ridden with cover and saved for one late effort. Not
without hope, but needs to rediscover her best to feature strongly.

Ararat is within the state of Victoria.

They changed the uplink method, so a lot of the Victorian feeds are not always available.

Thanks for the info. I remember watching Ararat a couple years back and hoping there was still a feed available. The reason I ask is I have a runner there, if it leads it wins but I'll get beaten by the tracksiders to the best price. Thanks for the heads up 👍

Not sure if this is the right place to post but TAB support have been useless as usual.

The problem I'm having is that when I first open the live stream on the TAB website or app, it starts off about 1 second behind live, but after about a minute it slows down to about 5 seconds behind (but never any further than that). I've tried on a PC with a decent graphics card (4080), android and Apple devices and the same thing happens with all of them so it's not device specific. It always winds up being 5 seconds behind, despite when first opening the app/site

Obviously 5 seconds behind is useless for pretty much anything, does anyone here have any idea what could be causing it and if there's a solution?

Thanks team.

I can't help with a solution sorry but can confirm I've had the same problem last week or two. Just have to constantly refresh the feed. Has been comical a couple of times because everyones feed must freeze at the same time and the market action just stops too, especially when in the home straight

Haha I've noticed the same thing with the market going quiet for a second or two and now I know what to put it down to 😂

I'm too old and reactions too slow for trading in the straight, I'm only active in the first furlong or two but the delay makes it impossible unless refreshing like a madman like you said, and ain't nobody got time for that!

Thought I might as well mention the elephant in the room re inplay betting and see what others think..

I think I'm pretty well across all the available feed methods, satellite feeds, TAB app, guys going on track and using the raw screens or even sitting in the stand. But I'll just come out and say I think employees of these vision providers are getting access to the raw vision and using it. As soon as Racing dot com got WA, the tracks over there started behaving exactly like Vic & SA.

Also as a cost cutting method TAB or Sky are getting race callers to call remotely, so they are obviously sitting at home or in a studio with access to raw vision. I suspect they might be able to tap into that whenever they want and are either using it or forwarding it to others.

Another anomaly today.. race 1 @ Te Aroha NZ.. Sky didn't even show the race, Sky 1 was blokes yapping and Sky 2 had some US trots. I pulled up the vision on NZracing using a VPN.. Interestingly Betfair still turned the market inplay and closed it on time, but the kicker was someone willing to scoop all the 1.01 on the winner. Very interesting seeing BF is supposedly banned there, and it was 6 degrees and pelting down rain trackside.

Nearly every time a NZ race doesn't have vision on Sky, BF just suspend the market straight away.. which makes me wonder. There were clearly two people who could see the race live... the person placing the bets and the person who knew when to turn the race inplay & suspend... Food for thought.. I note racing dot com show NZ vision sometimes too

I don't play Australian racing, but I'm sure Betfair have direct raw feeds that they use for market management of UK, Ireland and US races. On the rare occasion of normal streams missing or significantly delayed Betfair almost always still manage the market correctly.
