Netflix have tracked some people using prediction markets: -

But it looks like a bit of a stitch-up job. They're not traders, just the typical masculine, out-of-control, ego-driven punters.

Last weekend, more than $5.6 billion was wagered on the World Cup final through Polymarket and Kalshi, representing just a sliver of the overall action on prediction markets — a legal but controversial way to gamble on the outcome of almost anything.

On July 26, the latest installment of Instadocs examines the phenomenon, exploring how tens of millions of people are diving into these markets — placing bets on anything from the World Cup and Taylor Swift’s wedding to elections, weather, and armed conflict — with all sorts of consequences.

@Kalshi sends "Cease & Desist" letter to
@Netflix concerning upcoming documentary purporting to show people using the app in Nevada, where it banned.

From @beckhardt, Marketing Lead at Kalshi:

"Netflix had a chance to make a genuinely interesting documentary about prediction markets. Instead, they made a sensationalized film built on fiction.

The preview they just released features a Kalshi trade slip that's completely fabricated - it looks nothing like our UI. It's either photoshopped or AI-generated. The people in the trailer aren't even Kalshi traders, they're a group of influencers. Is anything in this documentary real?

We flagged the fake trade slip to Netflix. They said they'd pull the trailer. They haven't.

We expect better from Netflix."

Cease and desist notice. They really have no chance against Netflix.

Good catch!  You are always so switched on with news!
$5.6bn is crazy! Remember when we were hoping US liquidity came to Betfair, here it is plain as day.

Is anyone on here taking advantage? I'm aware UK/AUS are blacklisted due to lack of licenses. I wonder if they're more efficient than bfe, maybe you could arb it same way betdaq lags behind BF

Kalshi is heavily regulated. Polymarket, not so much.
