I took my daughter to San Francisco for the first time a few years ago, and we were in quite a tall building and experienced a 4.6, I think it was.
I'd sort of forgotten to tell her what to do if there was an earthquake, so she got on the phone pretty quickly.
Australian Horse Racing
well if you're gonna experience one, better for it to be about that sort of strength! best of both worlds
seems like the point of origin was pretty close. At first I thought it was a drunk neighbour stumbling home @ 2am on a Fri night

Go on really well at randwick today. Flemington was a bit messy but it was raining all arvo here so whatever
Melbourne Cup soon! Still can't believe everyone here in the city takes the entire day off of work for a HORSE RACE lol
Think it was 2024 when I had the outside winner land for a massive profit. Don't expect to ever beat that result honestly

Best of luck
I'll be leaving it for auto this year, took daily 5fig manual loss recently, brain just doesn't seem to care about risk much these days not entirely sure why. Numbers feeling like they don't matter but still feel it after losing day oddly. Probably better for my body, mind, pnl to go 100% auto from here could probably make a few more useful bits of I committed a bit more

Someone was telling me last night that they always did a sweepstakes for the Melbourne Cup growing up in Canberra in school... Gambling culture is so bad here lol. There were a few good cup day after parties going as well, just a shame about the public holiday surcharge everywhere here haha

Does 4 million matched not mean that there was UK interest in the market?
I watched the first couple of races before I went to bed. Put some money through the Melbourne Cup market, too. Small stakes, of course. I’m always drawn to these big race markets and horse racing in general. The idea of a steady stream of races all day, every day is tremendously appealing, but I haven’t spent a lot of time on these markets and find some aspects of them bewildering.
Fascinating watching the money come in way before the off. Lots of chunky four-figure amounts on Hopewell Rock around midnight UK time. The enthusiasm for the horse seemed to be fading as I went to bed.
I watched a recording of the race on Tuesday morning. Very exciting. For a long time I thought Royal Supremacy was going to hold on.
Hope you all did well.
