Hi all,
next year I would like to start with sports arbitraging, meaning, that I want to back at
bookmakers for higher odds, and lay at betfair for lower odds.
It seems, that there are some possibilities for it, if you compare odds at odds comparison sites.
But sometimes I think, that the bookmaker mentioned at this sites, are selected by the homepage owners only due to one fact: "who pays the highest commission". If I do some research, the bookmakers are registered in very exotic countries. So the question is: Is there anything like a "trustseal" or something else, which guarantees, that the bookmaker is able and willing to pay? Maybe there is a kind of ranking available somewhere? Who can help me out?
Regards, Ralf
Unserious and serious bookmakers
I started doing this last year Ralf, but gave up due to some problems
Sporting Bet and William Hills closed my accounts. Actually they didn't, but they started offering me such pathetically small stakes that I asked them to close my account because it wasn't worthwhile
I then started taking some money from Expekt. However, due to them being outside of the UK, they wanted an emailed copy of my debit card and a picture for security. Low and behold, I then became the victim of debit card fraud. I questioned Expekt's customer service section and they closed my account for being abusive!
You can make money this way, but it won't last long before the bookies shut you down

Hi, thanks for your answer and that you wrote about your experiences.
Maybe you can write me more about the "small stake" what they offered you?
I do not need to have a massive amount of money from my betting activities. For me it is more fun, than a money making opportunity. So if I would cash in 20-30 Euro for such bet, I would be fine. This means, that the backing at bookmakers would be, depending on the odds of course, not higher than with a stake between 50-150 Euro. Would you see based on your experience already problems with bookmakers? Ralf

Yes you would have problems if you were limited Ralf, the bookies that Myself or someone I personally know have been limited to well under £10 (often it seems to be done by liability), for instance SportingBet have limited me to winning a max of something like £10 so if the odds are 6 then I'm allowed a £2 bet.rusdo wrote:Hi, thanks for your answer and that you wrote about your experiences.

It will depend on what you bet on but if your looking at Arbs then it's more likely to be something like handball etc that you get the chance, and putting something like 50-150 euro at a UK bookies on that will get you limited very quickly.
