I know this topic has been covered elsewhere but I was looking to get a difinitive answer which I can rely on to be correct rather than deciding myself and getting it wrong.
If I want to run 2 versions of Bet Angel at the same time - on in live mode and one in practice mode - what are the optimum settings for the data refresh rates to to avoid incurring Betfair data charges and still have a resonably fast interface?

i have tried this using 15 requests per secound but i did get a warning from betfair that if i continued i would be charged so all i can say is 15 is too many and any lower makes your speed drop hope that helps

You can actually modify the characteristics of what calls Bet Angel places to Betfair and how. I'll often run two versions but I will switch off calls I don't need.
You can save on calls by switching off functions in the ladder as well. If you switch off or slow down full market depth, that may help you.
