Hi all,
I'm having an issue with Bet Angel; my settings are tweaked so I can work with a 200ms refresh without any data buffering, but after about an hour or two of trading BA starts to lag and the refresh is no longer where I need it. There's also a time delay between clicking and my bets going into the market too and it's costing my edge often now, as the price can move 2/3 ticks in the time frame of the lag.
Closing and re-opening BA fixes the problem, but is there a longer term solution than closing the program several times a day?
Bet Angel lagging as day goes on.
open your task manager, and see what is using up the most memory - possible you have something running that you don't realise is running. also if you have a lot of add-ons in your browser, they can make your pc run slower, if you have get rid of them.
automatic updates can slow ba down, so switch any off and best trade without any switched on.
make sure you have not got a virus that is causing the problem.

Spot on for me too, but my internet remains steadily at a high speed. I like the suggesting of using tune up during the day and see if that works, will also run CCleaner and see what the result is and post back here later.bun22 wrote:Same here, it has been happening since I installed new version 1.33 but I thought there was an issue with my Internet. It also happens when volume increases significantly.
Monitored my task manager today whilst using BA, when first turned on this morning and loading a few tennis matches into guardian BA cpu usage was 13% and memory usage was 150k, now (3:30pm) cpu usage 80% and memory 500k both figures have increased and remained higher after each horse race I have been involved in, it is almost as though BA is not releasing memory it no longer needs and then requesting more later.
Although Guardian will build a full chart history for those tennis matches during the day, an extra 350k seems too high.
Apart from the main screen (including automation tab) and Guardian, do you use any of the other screens? e.g. Market Overview? In-play Trader? Tennis Trader? etc
Do you spawn betfair or advanced charts for the horse race runners during the session?
Once we've got a better feel for your normal usage we'll try to recreate the issue. Also if anyone else could offer similar comment we may reveal a usage pattern that is user excessive resources.
This PC running v1.33.0 has been used on the horse racing today, has everything loaded into Guardian and yet is currently running at 210k memory footprint.
Thanks

First thing when I loaded the tennis markets into Guardian I used tennis trader to work out what I was going to do in those markets then closed it down. Once the horse racing starts I only use the one click and automation screens, no charts etc. After closing and restarting BA usage dropped back to 13% cpu and 150k memory but has started to creep up again. Apart from BA I have Betfair and Oddschecker open.
