Hi
Anyone else noticed the in running prices today?
I haven't done any in depth study...but It seems as if someone is holding the prices up? My P&L looks very unusual? Would be very keen to hear from anyone else
Regards

I'm having a blood bath sort of day. I have been hammered on several races. Some serious funny business going on in the pre markets.

I agree, there's been a load of large wads of money being bombed in and things seem a bit mental. Can't put my finger on exactly what it is?

I havent traded pre race today..so cant comment
It doesn't seem to make sense to me what the strategy is in play...although they got stung in the 15:30 big time.
Im just going to keep the auto stuff running anyway although it may mean losing some of the profits

they've been in most races. Huge chunks of money at the front of the que and when it get touched it gets pulled then they hammer it down seemingly with larg momentum then it gets hammered from the other side. Its like there is hardly anything getting matched and there is huge sums just moving round the book

I can only liken it to a large stakes game of traders pass the parcel as they are pushed around the front end.

Pre off markets have been very erratic today.

That was a good example of the in play symptoms on the 17:30 at Ballin..
I think the horse was called phyllis fancy..its as if the lay odds were held up despite the horse doing well..It eventually came down to under 5's and they couldnt hold it any longer (and I greened up ;)

the in play stuff today it felt quite aggressive but there wasn't money coming behind it to support their position if they needed to drop it so they may have took on a little more than they could chew going into play and therefore had a big liability to lay off on the lower odds horses.

Mental. Reckon it'll still last until tomorrow? Some very odd things going on.

Yesterday was good but today I thought all my trading knowledge was the wrong way round, as if I would have been better doing the opposite to what I was thinking! At least I was not alone if you guys also noticed it odd today so hopefully it was a one off.

Yesterday actually turned out to be my best day for many weeks..
vast majority of the profits came from this race:-

In another post we talked about being able to tread a race, well I managed to read that one ok! :)
Three horses traded under 1.4 and one traded at 1.01 and lost

Sorry for the quality of the video, no sound either.
The one nearest the rails lost! (It still looks wrong to me)

This is a great example of why the Fast Pictures boys dont always win
Good luck for today all
