Moyes's body language and words make him come across like a defeated man, and I imagine that will spill over into team morale
Something I always look to is a manager's attitude in the conference room. If they sound defeated, I'll then consider laying their team at a reasonable price.

43/1 to win the premiership, surely no chance now. Far too many losses.

Twitter stats round-up

Man United (22 pts) are the WORST reigning champs after 15 matches since themselves in 2001/02 (21 pts)

0-1 FT - After 41 years, #NUFC win away at MUFC again. It is their first away win v any reigning champs since 2-1 at Liverpoo , Oct 1988.

3 - Manchester United have lost consecutive home games without scoring for only the third time in PL history (Dec 01, May 02). Panic.

Manchester United have now lost as many Premier League games this season as they did in the whole of last season

Manchester United lose back-to-back home Premier League matches for the first time since May 2002 (4,231 days ago)

3 - Only Fulham and Sunderland (two each) have kept fewer clean sheets than Man Utd (three) in the Premier League this season. Fragile.

That's man utd reached the near point of no return, they now need a long run of wins which i can't see happening, interested to see what players they will buy in january.

Is it time to put a back bet on man utd in the hope they go on a winning run?

There's a genuine chance United are going to fail to reach next season's Champions League

It will be fascinating to see what happens then, because it's been suggested for a few years that Man Utd's balance sheet is not as healthy as possible

Hopefully Moyes will get the sack, Fergie will come back till the end of the season, and we'll be able to salvage some dignity from the season...

Speaking of dignity, if Moyes had any he'd admit that he's not up to the job, and hand in his notice...

Just had a look at fixtures, man utd have 4 easy games coming up, arsenal, chelsea and liverpool have 4 hard games. man utd are trading at 32 just now.

If man utd do well and arsenal chelsea and liverpool slip up a bit i think a good profit can be made.

Anyone else think it's a good time to back man utd?

Over the years, you could have made a fortune backing Man U when it looked like a nailed on draw or loss, and then United pop in a cheeky goal in the 93rd minute. The lesson is: never say never where the comeback kids are concerned! ;)

OK, that was under a very different gaffer, but I still think it's premature to rule them out (although if rumours of Van Persie getting itchy feet are true, we really could be stuffed! ).

it's not Moyes fault really - they won the title last season by default with an average team because the opposition was so poor.

Man U have still had dodgy penalties (courtesy of the sh1t cheat Ashley Young) but the difference is that other teams aren't lying down when they go to Old Trafford now, but maybe they aren't getting so much added time post-Fergie...

The opposition hasn't significantly strengthened their squads since last season AFAIK, nor have we significantly weakened ours. There may be something in the Fergie fear factor, but I think that professional footballers at the top of their game won't be affected too much by who the opposition's manager happens to be...
