Woy, must be delighted, we have a group in which The Rose & Crown Pub's Sunday league side would fancy their chances.
UEFA have since closed the door to new applications in Gibralter's position. In order to get full UEFA membership you now need to be a sovereign state. Jersey were also hoping to be accepted, but they and Guernsey and the Isle of Man, are Crown dependencies, not sovereign states.
Neither are Gibraltar but, as I understand it, they were allowed in as they started the process of applying to Uefa before this new rule came in, therefore forcing Guernsey to enter into the English pyramid system. Jersey are expected to follow suit within 5 years

Gibraltar originally came out the hat in the same group as Spain but their group was changed for 'political reasons'.
Maybe if we sneak through our group in the World Cup and have to face the Spanish we can as FIFA for special dispensation to keep us apart too
