If I want to bet close to the end of InPlay using Guardian automation, unattended betting, max refresh rate is needed to be successful. It would be great to have possibility to stop monitoring market once it has been suspended InPlay. There is no need to monitor suspended market InPlay, it just takes refresh cycles for next market.
Another improvement - set max number of markets being monitored. - To bet close to the end of race I would use this seting = 1

Guardian - Market monitoring improvements
I have a similar problem with live soccer. Only interested in the last ten minutes of the match, although all markets in play must be refreshed so that they count their minutes from start, but of course it could be sufficient to refresh them even every 5 minutes, until "my" last ten minutes of play. So I imagine a two speeds refresh rate selectable: eg. "from 0 to 80 minutes apply speed 1", "from 81 to 110 apply speed 2" with the default being the way it is now for those who are not interested in such refinements.
This way all the refreshing power can be concentrated where it's needed.
This is because betfair don't have a satisfactory way of subscribing to an unlimited(or much higher than 20 anyway) number of calls, even subscribing with £200 a month there is a very complicated calculation which still implies that you have to be very careful all the time if your calls are more than 20/sec. The way I dreamed up above would resolve this problem very nicely, in my case anyway...
