After Steven wrote that post, I was tempted to reply by saying,
'Don't provoke the trolls'...

Being a newbie, I would very much like to know with what stakes do you achieve this results?

And if the answer is micro, small, medium or big stakes, I would very much like to know what figures do you consider for this stakes.

Because I come from a poker world I guess my definition of stakes are different from yours :)

Many thanks for your answers!

Well that result was achieved from a sub £10 stake (liability)..
However, describing it it that way is a bit misleading as you can go many races before you get a win. So you need to factor that in too.
I dont really think of it as a win as such; I tend to think "On a £170 win; that will allow me to test another 17 races at £10 Race"

I would have thought about it as "how many losing attempts at £10 liability did it take me to win one for £170". If it's taken you 1 attempt, then that's better than 5 attempts, which is better than 20 attempts (which would actually be losing money).

So I think it's good to be looked at from a risk/reward point of view as opposed to just the stakes/liability used.

My internet connection went down for that one - I ended up making over £1600.

It's fair to say;

a/ That's by a very comfortable margin the most I've ever had from Ffos Llas
b/ My liability was a good deal more than £4
c/ I'll be paying my dry cleaner a visit on Monday

:shock:
