The biggest issue I saw before was they only really provided good coverage for UK racing. Football was pretty poor with limited coverage and therefore I dont know how they going to attract new customers to use their product with the exception of a few traders? Not sure if coverage on other sports has increased in past 12 months as I can't use it now?

I thought you had said things were looking better on BD now than they used to for example at the start of May you said:

I am a bit confused if you think things are or are not improving on BD or when you say +'ve impact on numbers do you mean something else, perhaps the number of people using BetDaq Angel?

The number of users Andy. I think I alone and contributing a good whack to their numbers, but number of users is unmoved since we did the upgrade (at our cost).

That's interesting, I would expect the same story to be repeated with other software providers. Therefore either the existing users are putting more through or the increased volumes are accounted for by people not using trading software. If the former that does not potentially bode well for continued expansion.

I am looking forward to seeing how Royal Ascot works on BD this year.

One objective was achieved and that was that after intensive lobbying of Betdaq they did add what we needed and we knew if we upgraded others would follow. So that worked :)

If Ascot trades like other big meetings this year I think it will be pretty good. I'm way ahead on Betdaq this year compared to last year.

I saw recently Betdaq were looking to hire a person with a trading background who would liase with their clients and third parties, to improve their numbers i guess. perhaps push the message on adding more sport markets. Maybe one of us should apply :P

I had something recently where a Betdaq rep was suppose to call me as they were running a promotion for people running automation. (I suspect it wasn't as selective; i guess lots of people got the same email! :D )
I didnt get the call; but I got a code to offset some of the losses.
I tried the In running, but it just wasn't up to scratch unfortunately. :(
I got the call and the code. I'm now trying to get them to honour the agreement, as they have only returned a quarter of the money I'm entitled to.

Partly reimbursed - but it's not about the money now, it's the fact that someone in their organisation can't perform the calculation correctly. Incidentally the 19.40 at Punchestown has shown as being in-play from at least 19.00.

First few races at Epsom have traded well

Plenty of money about on the Epsom races but finding away from the Fav it is pretty poor. Well over 10% of what BF has matched in total on the market.

Made a mess of the 15:45 only coming out with a small profit but done well on the others.

I've started digging a bit deeper into Betdaq vs Betfair to see if I can pick off some specifically interesting trends.

It's interesting to note that they have a much larger share of the Irish racing than I imagined.

There are some weak races, I'm trying to figure out why they are occurring, but there are also some strong ones. Best race yesterday reached 36% of Betfair volume on a normalised basis.

That 36% is encouraging. Maybe the weaker races are caused where you have tracks where less bookmakers use BD to lay off?

Any one else have issues with the Betdaq exchange in the 5 mins before the 14:00?

Had to close the markets and reopen it several times as it stopped updating.

Not a local internet issue.

I'll keep on top of the stats and let you know what I am finding.

I ponder if its not that respectively Betdaq is weaker its just that there is more ping pong money on Betfair?
