On a related theme - interesting take on tote volumes from one of Australian's most respected punters...

The continual decline in TAB pari-mutuel turnover must have administrators worried. The stats are alarming. In 2010 $46 million was wagered over the four days of the carnival in NSW through the win pool, in 2014 $34 million was wagered and in 2015 just $30 million. That’s a massive 35% drop in 5 years.
