First thing I did this morning was take the irish racing out of guardian. Never mind. Nothing special happened either in regards to anything like that.

It's a law unto itself the Irish racing
you can easily get caught, in running not that much better either

This was a very odd race, I'm a little suspicious TBH as Betfair switched off cross matching. It is default to on, so they could have only switched it off on purpose.

Quired with support and they said it was 'an error' which nobody seemed to spot despite it was a grade 1 race, which they sponsored which had enormous volume through it. Not convinced.

The horse had a hell of alot of backing at price of 2.0 then bang up it goes....... strange!

TBH i never noticed the XM myself so thanks for pointing out, im inclinded to agree that under the circumstances of that race its cause to raise the old eye brow

How often did the switch of cross matching? How do you know if they have switched off cross matching?

Could somebody direct me, where to find info, how x-matching works for horses and how can switching it off cause such drift? I would like to understand the logic behind it.

- same for all markets as far as I know

I don't know why it should have a role in causing a drift, suspect it's just coincidental. I'd be interested to hear other opinions though...
