small wish-hoping to be able to track volume change on a runner but maybe that's another rabbit hole.a .big "press for profit " button wins :)

Could you get around that by offering a "record" facility whereby BA records the data and keeps it in house, as opposed to going off somewhere to obtain it?
That's exactly what I was thinking too :) It's such a genius feature, I can't believe there are no workarounds. Peter goes back & watches old Cheltenham videos to refine his skills. Therefore actually re-trading it would take it to the next level. A trader who wants to learn shorties could trade 100s a day etc - rather than the sporadic 6 if he's lucky! It would benefit everyone - especially those who want to learn but work during the afternoon.

Or is it a case that the data is the 'intellectual property' of BF?
Pretty much, yes. We'd lose our vendor access to the betfair API if the software was able to record betfair's prices in any way.

Boooo! The dream is dead.

At least the "Push button to make money" button dream is still on. Am I right?!

How about using some kind of block chain technology and bitcoin to creat a "dark pool" (like the investment banks) to match bet angel user bet's against each other. No more premium charge :D Only if a bet is not fully matched, the unmatched part of the bet will be forwarded to the exchange. I guess betfair wouldn't like it, but as far as I remember Peter was in Silicon Valley, so maybe some VC is bringing in big money to change trading

If i had to guess, and i don't but i will anyway. I'd say something that moves Bet Angel in the direction of utilising new technology. Something away from the standard interface. Looking forward to finding out what it is anyway.

A few random guesses:

- Ability to trade Smarkets with ladder/automation and take advantage of their 2% commission

- Plenty more condition types in automation, including min-by-min soccer stats (shots on target, possession, etc...)

- Bet Angel to become a cloud service: no need to download, install anything or leave your computer/vps on all day

Can we eliminate stuff ?

1. Is it an automation/guardian 'breakthru' (signals being re-routed)

2.Is there some intelligence behind the keyboard. So, if u wanted to back at 2.00, and 2.04 was available, on a different platform, you would get 2.02, and someone-else gets the rest ?

3.Is there a ranking/tipster button .. so, u can submit to a verification agency, of how great we all are ?

4.Is there a way to by-pass in-play delays ? That would be quite handy.

5.Or, are they just 'bug' fixes, to the existing platform .. like, net comm figures/better sound support/offset betting(I know)/horse number by name on ladder/etc.

I have zero interest in trading horses 'in play' and IMO that will not produce a wave of new savvy traders, it's more likely to produce blown banks where problem gamblers have another opportunity to lose control of their senses
I agree most people would lose even more money if this is what is planned. I would imagine though that there would be a few very smart individuals or more likely syndicates that would be able to make a killing from this technology.

Unfortunately I would not be on of them as like you I don't have much of an interest trading in running either.

I was really surprised when I started sports trading that practising on historical data was not possible as its so common place in the financial industry. Why do you guys think BF doesn't introduce some kind of small charge for this for DIY traders (ie not commercial operators). Is its just more trouble than its worth to them?

don't want to blow the surprise, but i've heard that the practice mode screen colour is being changed to match the live version. this means that you can trade greyhound races and publish your results without needing a photoshop licence as well... :D

An advanced modelling tool for the racing markets would be interesting.

IE the horse racing equivalent of Tennis Trader or Soccer Mystic.
