I just tested the prizeout. I mean you get a bonus on it!

Got the Mrs a £50 Sainsbury card and got a 2.25% bonus added to it.

Unfortunate. I've just made my end-of-month withdrawal. 2.25% is pretty generous. I wonder where that money's coming from - it's not Betfair generosity is it?

I saw that Prizeout and couldn't work out what it was, a few quid added onto a shopping card would be welcome, as a confirmed confectionary fiend that would bring a few more bags of midget gems. :D or red liquorice or milk bottles. :)

It makes sense now. They get commission from the shop selling the gift card. I shop at ASDA and B&Q occasionally so it makes sense to withdraw some of your funds in gift cards. After all, there was a time in Russia where people working for a gherkin factory would receive their wages in jars of pickled gherkins, whether they ate them or not!

Just went into my bank to check my Betfair withdrawal had arrived, to find a very different description.....

No longer says Betfair!
Now says Power Leisure Book

I don't like this......it's hard enough telling the banks you're a trader as it is, and not a gambler
This entry onto my bank statements looks bad
I had a withdraw its still saying "Betfair" on the statement.

Pillock Book would be most appropriate.

A few points:
1. Gift cards have a notoriously low redemption rate
2. Gift card owners are unsecured creditors, and therefore lose it all in case of bankruptcy
3. From the company's perspective, face-value gift card are an interest free loan.
