That's odd because I thought they were great.

I've just placed my first £1 bet on the Betfair website, and cancelled it. :D

When you end up with a 30 pence green it's all the more annoying that they take commission of it. It's like robbing the poor.

The floodlights they use at these Australian tracks are really bright. It's the middle of the night yet they make it look like daytime

Gosford put back one race. G2 at Rosehill traded well, first decent market of the night.

Amazing. A guy with the same name as me got exactly the same thing to say. :)

Been trying hard to think of a positive of being Ill recently. Being awake to call in on Flemington this morning may be one of them?

It's been a long time since I've had the flu but from what I remember, spending all day sitting in front of the telly enjoying crap you wouldn't normally touch with a barge pole, like pot noodles, and long hours in bed, is my positive. :)

Hope you're feeling better soon.

I think the positive is that your body timed being ill at the quietest time of the year so that you are well for trading the rest of the year. It's quite uncanny that it would happen in the trough of liquidity. I'm sure there is some phenomenon behind this as I tend to get ill at the most convenient times.

Coincidentally I've also been ill this week but can't find a positive in any of tonight's Australian markets so far

Y, it wouldn’t surprise me if there is a link.

Flemington is trading well , so my conclusion is that I need to be poorly more often

What’s going on with the new Australian commission? Hard to find anything out when you’re not based in Aus and don’t get the emails, thanks

Just seen that all states are up to 7% comm bar NSW which is still at 10 and SA which stays at 5. But you only get a discount now if you’re a VIP…

Commissions now 5%, 7% or 10% depending on market. No discounts to that unless in VIP program.
