It didn't seem to make much difference to the draw price!

Just when you think England are in control of things they usually find a way to collapse

One must question the leadership

They could be led by god but that won't make them capable of batting. The odds before they took the field to bat were 1.3ish. absolutely crazy. Needless to say I had a bit of that.

67 all out, is that some sort of record?

Not quite but a pathetic effort all the same.

54-6 pre-lunch
13-4 post-lunch in 22 minutes.
Team selection issues, terrible shot selection and aggressive bowling from the Aussies.
Root's demeanour looks a bit like an ex-captain at the moment.
I think they should make Broad Captain.
He's not lacking in confidence. And i reckon its easier to bowl as a Cap than bat. Batting is so reliant on a fresh, uncluttered mind. I realise bowling is an intellectual challenge too, but you're flinging a ball not trying to react in a split second as batsmen have to.
And England have gone from 1.6 to 4.6 since I started watching @ 11:10am.

Root is imploding.
Why jump to catch that ball?
Fear!
Have some guts, take it on the chin if you fluff it!
Thats just basic incompetence!

They were short before a ball was bowled.

Joel Garner once famously said after inspecting a very green pitch at Taunton when the captain was thinking of inserting the opposition, "it ain't as green as it looks" . Yes a half decent batting team may have been able to take advantage of bowling the Aussies out cheap, sadly England do not fit that description.
