The threads' only been going a couple of days!

Last race is @ 22.35 tonight, so plenty of time for it to go belly up....

But...still going well... ;)

Also I am being much more selective on the races I trade whereby a certain amount of money has to be matched before the 3 minute mark and the selection has > 50% of the matched volume from that point onwards.

And I am not taking the prices being offered as they are poor value.

That shows that you've been watching the markets and forming a strategy to take them on.

I tend to find I'm more aggressive with the greys than with nags or footy. Mark Douglas says, "Don't be afraid of the markets." - so true.

My losing trades are proportionate to my bank. All I've shown is the overall profit for the session(s)...jeeze it's a long one, that's for sure. In the mix are the losing ones that are getting soaked up by the winning ones...a lot of them. No loss recovery involved, just min/max applications.

A stop loss on a losing session (1 day) will be 1% of the bank. The max invested in any one trade is around 0.25% of the bank. One trade may involve more than one grey in a race. My aim of trying to hit +£5k in a month may be a bold one, but you've got to have a high goal to aim for. It might fall short, but it might even exceed it.

It's also work in progress. If it wasn't for you starting the thread, and the useful posts made by others, it would have passed me by. Many threads get lost into obscurity on the forum, in time, it will probably happen to this one, or it might be one of those that spikes the internet....One thing's for sure, it's easier to read a greyhound race than some horse races, also easy to read the other bots and what they are trying to do as well.

I'm not necessarily gonna post all the time, but will dip in and out if there's anything interesting, or if I notice something useful, or post a big win from time to time. ;)

Great results guys...

QQ - Are you specifying when you should be backing and laying (i.e. beyond a given price or specified time before the off)?

I know you mentioned you just insert 1 tick infront until matched but whats to stop you getting matched at an extremely short price and then the inevitable drift following? (sorry just trying to get my head around your theory)

Archery or others may be doing something else, for me, in answer to the QQ, -

Both. Ideally 2 ticks better price, at a specified time before the off - Drip feed into market.

I thought Sunday maybe a little quieter...

I've identifed 32 of those races that have some potential, this morning/afternoon only.

In poker, there's a term...Embrace the Grind. I'm beginning to enjoy the data input part a lot more. A bit like a technical analysis trader, studying their charts ready for the market to open. :)

Also, with the help of automation - (Trading without fear) I've no idea if each trade is going to be successful or not, just let the win rate look after the results

One thing I have to be aware of, and have been guilty of before is; Ensuring normal confidence doesn't escalate into Euphoria.. That's when errors creep in and poor money management can be costly.

Credit to Mark Douglas's You Tube vids for all that. ;)

As a rough guide, which isnt very scientific:

- Take the TF forecast price

Example:

- Dog 1 forecast price is 9/4, so the odds >= 3.25 and i nip in front. If the price on offer is less than this example then i wait until its >= or move onto the next race. That way i dont chase the price down if its coming in and get caught out when it reverses before my TP%
