So nothing left on the horizon but the big tournament now, hopefully can prepare for it better than the last one.

I know it will be a fun tourney/thread, alas, would be far more sensible to focus on the market and not on the controversy around it. in case I'm AWOL just want to in advance wish good luck to everyone trading it, and to everyone supporting their team :D

As always I will be cheering for Team Liquidity 🍻

I think there was always going to be a lot of chatter in the build up as it's a very controversial tournament.

Hopefully now we can all focus on the matches.

I'm looking forward to seeing how bad England are in a weeks time.

Yeah hopefully there will be strong liquidity

Not a massive football trader but I will be interested to try and find some opportunities from a trading perspective

Sett Blatter says it was a mistake to host the WC in Qatar because.....the country's too small-minded!!
Fixed for Sepp

I'm sure he was happy to take plenty of brown envelopes from them though. I guess he will be refunding those and the cost of all the jollies now.
Throwback to how it all started, iconic scene really

I've just seen a still of that image on the TV. I think they were real dollars!

I just ran a predictor model from the groups and came out with this:
Argentina will play France in the final :D

Sky News showed footage of Issac Humphries, an Australian basketball player, coming out as gay, immediately followed by the weather, sponsored by Qatar Airlines.

Qatar owns large shares of Sainburys and Barclays so if people want to boycot they may have to consider where they shop and bank too

apparently budweiser hold licence to supply the stadiums, hardly a loss more of a blessing in disguise.

FIFA deserves these headaches, I know it’ll all be forgotten once the tournament starts but it’s been such an underwhelming build up
