My Aus servers are pinging around 350ms, about 11 times what they did when connecting to Tasmania.

Do u now need Aus servers ?

Are Aus Bf clients, allowed to run a VPS from non-aussie locations ?

At least you can save yourslef a few quid no longer maintaining an AUS server, Euler :) I'm getting much quicker response rates pulling up the markets but the proof will be in the pudding when I leave my bots running overnight I guess. The AUS server used to be a real nightare with response times for me so this is looking much more promising now their on the UK servers.

Heads up the spring/summer night racing season resumes at Moonee Valley Friday night.

The number of night racing dates in Victoria the season is up from 42 to 57.

This is appalling. API so slow. Liquidity no good today either.

I would be v grateful, if an Aus client phoned Bf in Aus, and asked if Uk servers were now allowed (if they were not permitted before).

Thx

Hopefully any liquidity issues are just teething problems after such a major migration.

I myself didn't trade last night because I thought it would be safer to watch and collect data first, which a lot of other people might be thinking too.

On initial inspection, my strategies are probably still applicable though so I'll be trading again tonight.

I did trade last night and didn't see a great deal of difference. Saturday will be the real test though.

Happy to do so but would like to know more about what I'm asking. I asked a related question here viewtopic.php?f=15&t=9319&start=150 on Sept 7th that went unanswered.

I expect Betfair's answer to your question rests upon whether Aus based customers using UK servers could circumvent the regulations against Australians betting inplay on sport (excluding racing)

There are already AUS customers using UK servers so I'm not aware of anybody being restricted because of that. It's legal to use Betfair in the UK whether or not you are domiciled here.

But, its a fair point, that if Aus residents, are prohibited from using servers, for legal reasons, will Bf now turn a blind eye, or not allow it.

Its tricky, as does it now come under Bf (I thought Crown casinos bought all of Bf Australia).

I dont really understand the set-up .. some reports have Bf licencing the company, to others. In which case, how do these 'foreign' companies, apply Bf rules and regs .. like PC/In-running delays etc.

I have a friend in Aus, who currently does not bet in-play. if he is allowed servers in the Uk .. would his new activity, be questioned ?
