I've been trying to but some of the reversals seem so extreme and sharp that I'm not confident it's coming back.

I can't understand how I've had 10/11 profitable days to literally only 2 green races and a ton of red through the whole of today. It's almost as if someone has wiped my memory of everything I've learnt from the last 2 years.

often the point when you think "this is never gonna turn" is the point when it actually does.

just checked that last race. Dont think you need much more evidence of dodgy activity in the markets than the fact something pushed low key out to about 1.96 completely against everyones positions before the flood gates gave way and it came in. crazy stuff.

Wins as expected, kind of shows how easy it must be to 'engineer' the results of UK races if they can pull off 4 in a day. as usual Barney will get the plaudits whilst Joe Punter picks up the bill with his 4/7 returns. Come racing, maybe not

it takes a lot of time, money and skill to pull off a gamble like that. well done to all those who filled their boots. can't believe the miseries complaining about it.

Probably people who believed the game was straight or people backing them on their previous starts when they were 'off form' I'd imagine.

Gamble landed in the last as well.

The problem with these coups is that it adds weight to the argument that the sport is corrupt. I know these things are related to the handicapping system, but try explaining that to an outsider!

Coral's take:

"Victory for all four horses has cost us a six-figure payout, and based on our losses we would estimate the industry has been hit for something in the region of £2million, which although still costly, is perhaps lower than some claims.

"As bookmakers we will take this on the chin as it goes with the business we're in, but we would also look at the bigger picture, racing's share of the betting market is decreasing, and while some punters will have profited from these winners, plenty would have bet against them in good faith, ensuring it's not just the bookies who pay the price on days like these."
