Update: Despite the fact that 7 officers were involved in the arrest and he had fallen asleep on the sofa when they entered, they still tasered him!! Perhaps they needed to do so to wake him up.

When he got out the next day he said good morning to me as I stood outside smoking and had no recollection of Christmas day but he was happy to have been given a new set of clothes. And he doesn't know it was me that called the police.

I've got to the point where I feel I need to battle my Mrs for TV time so I can win the algo over. This 98% match is a match to what the Mrs watches and I have zero interest in shit like Teen Wolf.

Maybe they thought you made a mistake ... goats are vegetarian!

It's stupid having McDonald's open for takeaways. You're more likely to catch Covid-19 standing in a busy queue than sitting at a table spaced out had having your food delivered!

Plus most McDonald's customers are likely to be obese and in at risk groups to start with :)

Don't know why people would want to go inside anyway.

If you have a car stay in it and go through the drive-thru
If you don't rather than walk there stay at home and order it for delivery

Burger King is on the way to my local supermarket, which is just around the corner from me. Then McDonald's is actually in the supermarket - I have to walk past it, and now I see people eating burgers before I go in. :)

Despite being a programmer from the age of 18 (14 if you include the ZX Spectrum), I still struggle with these flipping number formats:

_-£* #,##0.00_-;-£* #,##0.00_-;_-£* "-"??_-;_-@_-

and that's a flipping Excel default for currency!!

I'll just have to go back to school when I'm sober later in the day.

Read my water meter and submitted the reading over the website. Expected a "thank you for sending us a reading" or some sort of gratitude, after all, I'm saving them the bother of sending someone round to read it. Instead I get, "Are you sure? We were expecting a higher reading, are you sure you've read the correct meter? Your meter ref is xxnnnnnn, would you like to check it again?"

FFS, how would they flipping know when I'm gonna decide to open a tap - why would any water company think they can predict how much water I'm gonna use?? :x

When a 4' 10" woman asks me to get something off the top shelf at the supermarket I don't say "Sorry, I was expecting you to be 5' 5", you can get it yourself"!

Why is it so difficult to buy a flipping treadmill? Every single model at Argos is out-of-stock or not deliverable!!

And what's happening to cat food? Plenty of bog roll and other essentials but the shelves are being stripped of cat food for the last few days!!

I've just looked up the causes of tiredness/feeling sleepy during the daytime and the number one advice is, sit in the sun for 10 minutes!!!

What flipping sun??
