Why exactly did the guy intervieing choose to share that gaff with the interviewee? I suppose he instantly knew it would be publicised anyway so gave the interviewee instant right to reply. Not funny, but I agree as a demonstration of level-headedness that interviewee was top-notch. There was even a hint of bafflement about how another human can be so incredibly thick.
