Today's Football
Firstly what a rivalry Klopp and Pep!! Played in the best spirit, it's been great, a privilege to watch. Vielen dank.
On the bare numbers. 3.1 home win is value or 2.38 Lay city. However it feels like a big call taking on the treble winners.
I think if Arsenal can go top today with another statement win then it does (no matter what the managers say) put pressure on tomorrow. (says the armchair expert
) Just wonder if that manifests itself at anytime maybe looking for the 3 points not settling for 1.
I think for the title Liverpool need to win as they could do with a handy buffer and dominant home form on the home/away split is their path to the title. They could go into Sunday 31st March knowing they can stretch the lead on one or both rivals. I think most people are waiting for Arsenal to slip up but they are still there knocking in goals and it adds a fair bit of intrigue. Hard to tell how much is left in the tank at Liverpool with the Thursday night escapades and its getting dangerously close to 2002 with a 3 way battle at the top and 2022 in the hunt for 4 trophies. Sometimes the eventual champions get a key 6 pointer away win 0-1 or 0-2 and then people look back with hindsight and say it was obvious to them all along. That is why I would be reticent to get involved. Because of Arsenal in the mix if City do get the comfortable win they would still be quite juicy to back for the title.
TAA went a bit demob happy with the Mes que un club/Nation of Scouse Anfield branch/Financial doping dig and I think that could be an angle tomorrow. Generally it has been a great rivalry and it has been played in the best spirit. City with their disciplined hockey fouls rarely get booked. This one looks highly charged though, the heat is on and the German headmaster is leaving at the end of term. Looking for cards. That and backing 3-3 and 4-4 for peanuts!! (i.e I haven't got a clue who wins) Hope its a cracker.

It is a great rivalry, with the two best managers in the premier league, lets just hope there are lots of goals and it is a cracker, but you always fear games like these could end up a boring 0-0.henbet22 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 11:12 amFirstly what a rivalry Klopp and Pep!! Indeed, Pep and Klopp have faced each other more than any other pair of managers (according to transfermarkt data), with Pep being slightly behind despite the usual favourite roleconduirez wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 12:01 pmIt is a great rivalry, with the two best managers in the premier league, lets just hope there are lots of goals and it is a cracker, but you always fear games like these could end up a boring 0-0.henbet22 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 11:12 amFirstly what a rivalry Klopp and Pep!! But the rivalry is far too respectful and friendly, it's got nothing on the Kenny - Arsene one

Really hoping Everton get relegated, polluted the Premier League for to long now and a spell in the Championship is what they need, there absolutely shite. Rather Luton stay up at least they play like they want it.

Can Arsenal win the PL this season?
They do look good but a slight element of teams rolling over for them of late, they got City to play next everything else left is winnable.

Toney nearly scoring from 40 odd yards, you'd swear he had a few quid on himself
