BHA Stewards report

Race 2 - 2:05pm
THE SCONE PALACE HANDICAP HURDLE RACE (CLASS 3)
Permission was given for SECRETE STREAM (IRE) to be mounted on the track.

Having reviewed the start, the Stewards were satisfied that SAINT FREULE (FR) had refused to race after the start was effected and was therefore deemed to be a runner.

Sorry Shaun, but 'effected' is correct in this case. Effected, as in "to put into effect". The refusal of a horse to race did not affect the start of the race, so 'affected' was not the intended word.

Some interesting first race moves. This one ran dreadfully.
