It is a fascinating topic probably worth a thread
The guy who did the experiment reckoned only 1 in 1000 traders truly understood the ramifications of the above concept

The gamble on Saxon Warrior now becoming clear Fav in the Guineas tomorrow is really interesting. Only crossed my mind yesterday... is Donnacha the new balydoyle number 1 (when Ryan Moore is not riding)
Think Saxon Warrior is special, but also really like Gustav Klimt- Running two weeks ago on heavy ground imo is a terrible thing for tomorrows race.
Biggest Guineas puzzle I have ever seen, can see the market going up and down everywhere tomorrow.

Just been over some speed ratings for the Guineas tomorrow. I have either got it very wrong, but judging by the market. Gustav Klimt is about 4 lengths better than anything in the race. The listed race he ran in two weeks ago on heavy ground was Group 1 level... I hope he keeps drifting now. He won it on the bridle almost.
I'm at a complete loss how anyone can decide that one top trader is better than an other, with so many factors and variables to consider, or why anyone needs to order them.
If Peter sat quietly at home and nobody knew of him you would probably be calling some other well known trader a god - better than the rest.

Firstly why does it matter who’s the best trader. Secondly, Peter has developed imo the best trading software available to the market with 20 years experience. That’s enough to say he is. Kind of don’t get the point... it’s true we can’t say who is without knowing them but from what we do know it’s a fair assumption that Peters knowledge and experience is enough to award him GOAT.
Don’t see the point in this debate without any proof.
Cracks man was awarded horse of the year last year... but enable win everything..
Yes cracksman probably better but enable did more re than him.
Similar comparison with regards to Heathcote.
Just because one trader is earning 250k - year or 500k a year imo doesn’t make them any better than the other.?Peter was one of the first. He explored from scratch. In a way he’s the pele of trading but you could argue ronaldos better... what’s the point.

I dont think the majority treat him like a god. It's about looking up to someone who is very successful at what we are all doing and aspiring to be as good as them. Taking on board all the information they give to improve our own results.
The same with the other successful traders on this forum. After a while you soon learn whos posts/advice to soak up and whos to take with a pinch of salt
