Accredited journalists and now the children of Jacob Rees-Mogg queue jump, silly me thinking it was an egalitarian display.

Thought for the day: If they form another queue to wait to join the queue, the queue E2 will have a queue too

David Beckham's near the front of the queue. I'm just waiting for conformation that he joined at the back.

The Soviet Union would have thrived with you in their ranks. We wouldn't want somebody awarded Officer of OBE by the Queen and UNICEF ambassador to be given any special consideration to pay their respects regardless of anything they may have liaised on in the past.

Derek27, normally you're a stickler for staying on thread. Look at the title of this thread. IMO this is not the place to whinge about the Monarchy or the prioritisation of high profile or priviledged mourners jumping the queue.
It's about those that wish to pay respect to the Queen, can.
If you like start another thread "The Monarchy - a good thing or not? Discuss". Otherwise you're just creating unwelcome static.

Well done Becks, he never pulled a Rees-Mogg, at one with the hoi polloi. Even better it appears he was on his own, no handlers or hangers on attending to his every whim.

It must be a tough life all the same, being a queen. Imagine the big decisions you have to make: like which palace will one stay in for Christmas, or even trying to remember all the servents names, nightmare !
