Mbappe you cheating sod
I remember when Harry Kane dod the same rolled back on the pitch in the box. All players/teams cheat however FIFA/UEFA/PL allow it. Massive blow to France if he's out the tournament but a broken nose shouldn't stop him playing, see what he's made off but most players are made of candy nowa days.

I am impressed but the standard of refereeing and VAR (bar Belgium handball yesterday that was harsh and no consideration for the pushing and shoving between the defender and attacker) Premier League/PGMOL could learn a lot here.

On the face of it, the handball ruling-out seemed harsh, but I fully expected it based on a very similar one a couple of years ago. It's the height of your hand that counts, even if it's not deliberate.

The rules have changed, but commentators, pundits and fans seem ignorant of the rules; perhaps willingly so. Remaining ignorant, we can keep arguing every decision till the end of time.

Y. I also think there refereeing has been very good. A couple of things I douted have been proved the right call on the replay.

Broken nose should get a face mask, but it's bound to affect your desire to go for certain balls on a cross.

Waht a screamer for Turkey by Guler. That's not hit and hope. It's brilliant!

Must be a candidate for goal of the tournament. But there are already several. All very entertaining.

I;m finding it hard to dislike any of the teams so far. Little play-acting. Little time-wasting that wasn't manged by the ref (who look rather good atm).
I like it when teams like Austria press like crazy. Romania are the stand out of course. Ukraine winning would have been the romantic result but they looked a bit flat. Perhaps that is understandable given their national situation.
Must be very difficult for those Ukraine players to psyche themselves up for a football game. Perspective is everything.

tbh -i was surprised there was no comment on last night's scotland game on here. wasn't a classic by any means, but must have been good for the OU markets given the offside goals/near misses etc

I was too busy licking my wounds from the late Albanian equaliser. Had Croatia at 4.10. Should have bailed earlier. Stupid greed is one of my flaws.

Just seen the pinned post on Peters twitter and I'm quite surprised the odds on the favourites don't really move. Does anyone use a strategy where you lay the favs before the tournament hoping for an upset? Even with no major upsets in the first games, you wouldn't really lose much trading out!

Slovenia 1-1 Serbia. Good result for England. By my very quick maths I think that means even if England lose tonight we still only need a point vs Slovenia to guarantee 2nd in the group.

We didn't need that, I'd rather we saved our luck for the penalties. :)
