Hi to all! I'm very new to the sports betting world even though I currently work as a trader in the city.. I am finding a growing interest for the subject and I am really surprised to discover the betangel software. Before I dig deeper in this (and I apologise if my questions are very obvious), is betangel only supported by betfair? Also, is betangel the only realmprogram that I should be looking at in order to trade? Many thanks in advance!!

There is a Betdaq product. It is a separate download and free to use. The liquidity on Betdaq is yet to match Betfair but they are getting there.

Is Bet Angel Professional the only product? IMHO yes it is for full time trading as it is fully featured, constantly developed, good support, friendly forum most of the time and has all the tools.

Welcome

I think you'll find most of the people on this forum are friendly and will try their best to help you.

The software is designed by traders and used by traders. There is other software out there, I am not going to deny that or suggest it is no good. Everyone has to use the software that suits them and Bet Angel is my personal choice.

UFO bet angel is undoubtedly the best software for sports trading on betfair out their, any technical issues are well handled by the support team, for real advice and help on trading and general informative banter, i find other forums far more helpful.
Good luck.

I 'spoke' to him this morning so I can confirm he definitely exists. I just can't understand why people think he doesn't exist or speculate that idea.

I see some scam artist has decided to use Adam's photo to promote their rubbish

I initially thought this had to be a spoof ad, but the Clickbank link is real...

Especially like the following:

"YOU will make money Instantly. No one on this entire planet can offer you a system half as successful as Bet Turbo back that up with a full 60 day money back guarantee. NO questions asked."

At the end of the lengthy pitch:

"Examples and testimonials in these materials are not to be interpreted as a promise or guarantee of earnings."

Thought I'd dig up this thread and have a read through, I've certainly learnt a lot since I created it!

I seem to trade a whole host of sports and special events now and have done particularly well with F1, Darts, TV related markets and Football. However Horse Racing markets still elude me, I just can't seem to grasp what's required. I feel like I have a decent knowledge of a whole host of market indicators but something just isn't clicking.

The issue seems to be knowing something in theory but struggling to implement it in practice. Actually a major issue I have is when there's say 3-4 horses with similar prices, in this situation I just can't seem to pick up a relationship between the movement of one horse on the other. It's like I'm guessing instead of knowing which horse will be effected by another's movement. I've played around with a couple of volume charts in Excel to give me a better idea but it hasn't helped enough really.

I'm almost looking for racing markets with two clear favourites now just because I know the relationship between the two will be strong and easily readable.

To summarize I'd say try and look at other markets if you're struggling with one particular market (as I was advised in this thread), particularly sports you have a lot of knowledge with. Part of the problem for me not being able to grasp racing markets is probably down to not understanding why a price movement is happening whereas with the markets I've been profitable with I've known why the market is moving and have felt comfortable in acting upon it.

Same with me. I feel I understand the horse racing markets perfectly well now, but I can't trade manually, I just keep getting blown away. Trouble is I think that bots have gotten so powerful and precise nowadays it's just too hard to compete manually for all but the simplest markets (for me anyway). It does work for me when I put my systems on automated spreadsheets. The weakest link in trading is traders, so automation is the way to go.

Yea I've got to the point where I'm just going to knock racing markets on the head and admit defeat. I've put so much into it in terms of effort and have basically got zero back. Despite thinking I know what I should be looking for it still feels completely random to me.

I remember buying BA and thinking that the racing markets were something I could get on top of with hard work. I did the same with poker, taught myself to play and worked my way through the micro stakes to mid stakes but this is in another league to that.

I've been looking at it for nearly 2 years now on and off, definitely the UK horse racing markets are hideously hard, and if I'd known just how difficult it was, I'd never have tried it.

I did find a few edges though. There are simple ways to win on all types of market you know. But even knowing exactly what to look for it is STILL hard to win.

Still think the pre race markets are the best to make profit, automation i only use on football if i really must.I think reading the pre horse race market requires alot of constant hard effort and skill. You have to learn to take the losses and get out of them as soon as you are wrong, i always get out one tick against me and re evaluate. I think i lose more on inplay football than i do the horses Keep at it, it took me three years before i started seeing progress

Thought I'd come back to this thread and see how far I've got. Last season was the first proper season that I traded football and focused my attention on it, and it went well to the extent to where I feel confident in my ability to continue to be profitable going forward. I've got to say there was a guy on this forum who got in contact with me in August and helped me out massively throughout the season.

Then there's horse racing...the bain of my life! I've worked bloody hard at this, recording races where I can, playing around with a ton of indicators and I just can't make it happen for me. Honestly I wish I'd never bothered trying to learn it, it's the first time in my life where I realised that hard work actually doesn't pay off. I'm going to keep sticking at it though, I've worked to hard to just throw in the towel.
