I haven't done much weekday (apart from the spring carnival) cause it's mostly ill-liquid market.
But yeah, it depends on which meeting is on for that day.

the flemington markets are odd. Feel huge but move very slow! there are some huge stkes being thrown around! Half of them were probably yours!!

yeah, I know what you mean about the spikes....whosoever they were. I avoided the fav quite a bit today on account of that, but all fair and square in the end.

Made some blunders on Thursday's card at Flem but a profitable season overall. Will be ready with (hopefully) bigger stakes and lesser mistakes when next year rolls-on.

Racing NSW And ATC Announce The Championships

Racing NSW and Australian Turf Club have today announced a momentous change to the Sydney autumn racing program, heralding a grand finale event towards the end of the Southern Hemisphere Thoroughbred racing season.

Having a $3 and a $4 million race should attract some good internationals!

And they released their P/L for the financial year where they recorded a loss of $4.5 million. I swear the prizemoney Aus racing offers is absolutely ridiculous, there are better horses in the UK that are running for 10% of that.

Got excited when I read those words and thought maybe they lifted the Turnover Charge.

Back to my seat now. :(

"A painful lesson"

Perhaps the use of the word "lesson" is inappropriate because lesson would imply that I learned something. And yet each year after the end of the spring racing carnival at Flemington I neglect to adjust my volumes and the following week suffer accordingly.

I need to remind myself to look at this post next year.

Late group 1 on its way. Ascot Perth.

8:05 am London time. 7:05 pm Sydney. 4:05 pm Perth.

Should be good.

And it was ok. But not my best result of the day.

I don't tend to mess around at Ascot, never seems to be adequate liquidity.

Spring carnival well and truly faded and yet not a bad afternoon. Not bad at all.

Nice to see you had a field day Gaz.
Ok result for me, should've pushed a bit more.

I sent a message to Naffman in one of the mid races at Caul today saying I could "see you" on a rnr called Gracious Prospect. ;) I got the video...haaa

Markets weren't all that bad today, but just going through a rough patch (more than normal) in UK racing which spilled over to AUS.

Hope you guys had a better day.

If I may make a personal observation Swetish - stay clear of Queensland Racing.

I have always found the market moves there both sudden and violent.
