Betfair API Down
Thank you for pushing on this. If it helps this is what is happening to me. I have a bet sometimes partly matched sometime not that is sat in the market as an unmatched bet which when placed in the market was set to cancel at inplay. I have then changed it to take sp when the market goes inplay. I can not see any pattern as it seems to effect some races and not others though I do not use it in every race, I just use it to make sure my bet is matched at inplay if it has not already been matched prior to going inplay. It does seem to be worse today but it does always match at SP it is just that I have to close the market and reopen it to see my true position. Perhaps that indicates it is some sort of caching issue.
Is anybody getting a freeze up on the API of 5 seconds
at exactly 15 minute intervals?
This has been mentioned on another thread and it seems some people are (Ron, Dallas, The Fish) and some are not
It has been happening on and off for a few days but it happend a lot yesterday and every 15 minutes so far today
I have tried rebooting PC and Router and removing and downloading Bet Angel. I am using latest version, no automation running on guardian or anything similar and i am using same settings i have always used
Any help would be appreciated

Yes I'm still seeing it today.
Having to alter my trading so that I've no open orders in the market at those times, not ideal.

Its happened to me there at 15:38... thats a different time to yesterday.
Maybe have a look in your Windows Task Scheduler to see if there's anything which is set to run frequently.
Could also try having Task Manager open during the period of lock up to see if there's anything else hogging your CPU at the time.
If you have another computer or laptop you could try BA on there to see if the same thing happens or not.

Thanks for the suggestions but the fact its happening to more than one user would rule all that out I think.xitian wrote:Maybe have a look in your Windows Task Scheduler to see if there's anything which is set to run frequently.

Besides speaking just for myself since I noticed this first happening several days ago my settings are no different to how they've been for months now.
Dallas saw this happening yesterday and I think he's leaning towards an API issue, the puzzle is why its only happening to certain users.
I'm with Sky so that rules out it being an ISP issue.
I have just been running other things at the same time of the freeze ups. The other things did not freeze so not internet connection dropping out.
This along with the fact that it is happening to others means it surely has to be an API issue of some sort but why isnt it effecting everyone
