I like Steve Cooper but I'm not sure he's a good fit for Leicester.
Accrington Stanley? Who are they?firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 7:01 pmI confess to not watching much international football, I find it boring but because it was England I thought I would cheer them on. What a waste of 2 hours. They were pathetic, Accrington Stanley would have performed better. I'm surprised that these supposed 'top of their game' players don't know that the game is all about scoring goals and to score a goal you have to attack the opponents' goal. Passing the ball backwards or sideways does not win matches. There were many opportunities to move the game forward but instead they either passed the ball backwards/sideways or passed it to a colleague surrounded by opponents for him to make the backwards pass. And the commentators seemed to be of the same mind as me... do we have a tactically inept manager?
I remember them and I am on the other side of the world, I also remember as a kid watching Big League Football on a Sunday afternoon, think it was hosted by Brian Moore? not sure. Was also the time Nottingham Forrest were good, under Clough. Needless to say I hope they stay in the EPL for much longer.
This lack of ambition is curious given the aggresive attacking mentality these players showed coming through the 17's and 21s.darchas wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 10:12 pm![]()
You're dead right though, there's such a desperate need of energy, someone willing to take a risk and make something happen.
