Had a little dabble on next ManU manager.
Can't see many incumbents being interested, plus ManU won't want to invest £££s in compensation.
Leaves me with the following:
Van Nistelrooy @ 3.9 (Betfair market pays out on any "caretaker" role for at least 10 consecutive games)
Southgate @ 10.0
Xavi @ 7.0
Potter @ 18.0
and a small punt on a big outsider Ancelotti @ 300 for a bit of fun.

Strong rumours that Rodri has won the Ballon d'Or
Didn't see that one coming.

Would be amazed if they got him, but sounds like talks are well progressed. He's now the only red in my list so cross fingers it all falls throughjamesedwards wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 6:35 pmMASSIVE very early move for Amorimjamesedwards wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 5:07 pmHad a little dabble on next ManU manager.

Kaveh Solhekol was making a good point on Sky this afternoon that the summer signings of De Ligt, Zirkzee, Mazraoui might not be to the next managers taste, so with them alongside Ugarte and Yoro the new manager might end up having to ask for another 200 or 300m or so to get the players he wants in.
I'd take the job though, 3 year contract and fired after 18 months, happy days!

Sorry shouldn't laugh. I'm not tribal, I know how much it hurts when your team aren't performing.
Without Stevie and Carra, LFC would have been knackered.
But I'd like to see you at Man U. If it was me, it''d be "right, get shut of him, him and him....now!!... where's Maguire?".
Only way forward for them, the players must know they are next, only way they will attract a decent manager and players is if the new manager gets the go a head to go thru with a broom and clean out the trash. Otherwise it is just rinse and repeat.greenmark wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 8:35 pmDublin_Flyer wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 7:57 pmKaveh Solhekol was making a good point on Sky this afternoon that the summer signings of De Ligt, Zirkzee, Mazraoui might not be to the next managers taste, so with them alongside Ugarte and Yoro the new manager might end up having to ask for another 200 or 300m or so to get the players he wants in.

But they've done that. Several times. It's the owners.andy28 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 8:59 pmOnly way forward for them, the players must know they are next, only way they will attract a decent manager and players is if the new manager gets the go a head to go thru with a broom and clean out the trash. I thought the arrival of Brailsford would make a difference. It seems not. The clock is ticking for him now. But until the Glazers leave United are screwed. Look at the last decade it screams failure under their ownership,

The card situation is quite staggering compared to other seasons... The volume on cards markets is way up though !

He's a pretty reliable source so looks a slam dunk.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 3:34 pmLooks like Amorim is happening.

From what I've read Amorim has an attacking mentality and is good at fixing broken dressing rooms.
I wish him luck.
I still don't see those players playing high-energy attacking football.
I will be staggered if he pulls it off.
Look at the list that have failed there. And the variety of strategies.
None of it works if you have a bunch of arrogant overpaid wazzocks that basically don't give a s**t.
This may not age well but excellent appointment imho
Leaves door wide open to snatch up Gyokeres too
Simply adding goals to the squad could do wonders
Not quite sure why Amorim to Liverpool fell through, during the period when he was the fave he went for an interview at West Ham instead, then ended up apologizing to Sporting fans
