Seems to be an amount of distrust that the market has in Monfils.. not sure why. ;) I've chosen to ignore it, such is my liking for pain and anguish.

Looking to trade off laying Monfils could be good today. He came out fired up, but they're playing a lot of very long rallys, and he's having to work very hard to stay in many of them. He looked knacked already yesterday.

Reversed ship there thinking it wasn't going particularly far if he breaks serve..shame he got broken! loaded the boat up full of Goffin, easy stop loss, whenever I want it for the moment.

I'm happy to back Monfils at 1.32 personally

It probably was a big price in the classical sense! I was the other way because I felt the upside was the other way in a relative sense. Monfil's matches are pretty mad / maddening.

Look at how many more steps he needs to take most points. Especially high intensity ones. Plus how many more balls, he's getting to last minute compared to Goffin. If Goffin stops trying to force it too much and cuts just a bit back un unforced errors by doing so, it's going to be no contest imo

Yes, market implying Goffin's a very strong favourite in a 5th.

Thought we were going to get one of these on the (3rd?) match point

That game at 5-4 was just plain bizarre. Monfils looked like, he didn't really want to play and just conserve energy for his own final service, hoping to take down the tie-break. Still it took, what 10 minutes, as Goffin kept making mistakes!

You can never quite tell what's going to happen when Monfils is on the court.

£14 million traded on Goffin V Monfils

Possibly the highest of the tournament to date

fortunate to get out of the one with a profit.. if they'd gone back and forth between deuce and match point Monfils many times more I might be broke..

you layed Halep Dallas ? Feel Petko is performing at her peak right now.. her level can't go up. I'm hoping she can get a first set, or close to it. Halep just becoming backable by my reckoning.
