Next Tory Leader & May's Exit Date (2019)
It looks like Johnson.
Of those Tory MP's that have expressed their preference "no dealers" outnumber "dealers", so you'd assume they'd fall in behind Johnson as they are eliminated.
But 35% of Tory MP's haven't said who they support.
If Johnson is in the final two he'll romp it.
But then, given the bizarre democratic results recently, who knows!

Might look at no deal odds as well because the vote today was lost
Would never bet on that. Short/Medium-term pain for exporters = insolvencies/job losses. Not an accceptable option for my country.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 5:15 pmMight look at no deal odds as well because the vote today was lost
I thought I heard earlier that was set to take place at 7pm tonight?firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 5:15 pmMight look at no deal odds as well because the vote today was lost

I wasn't looking at whether it's right or wrong (I try to keep the actual politics out of my comments in threads relating to betting) … I was just looking at a possible opportunity.

I don't know what time it was but it was on the TV live when I flipped the channels … anyway it's a matter of public record now. I believe the move was defeated by 11 votes but that's from memory so may be wrong.
I checked straight after I seen your post and it looked like it had took place around 4pm,firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 9:20 pmI don't know what time it was but it was on the TV live when I flipped the channels … anyway it's a matter of public record now. can't remember where I heard it was going to be 7pm - it may have just been voices in my own head
I get that. Apologies for politicising any thread here. Perhaps we should have a Today's Politics in the Chill Out Area.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 9:19 pmI wasn't looking at whether it's right or wrong (I try to keep the actual politics out of my comments in threads relating to betting) … I was just looking at a possible opportunity.
But sometimes you have to say what you really believe.

So 1st round voting has started with the results due shortly after 1pm.
Minimum of 16 required to reach the 2nd round.
According to the Telegraph, "Andrea Leadsom, Mark Harper, Esther McVey and Rory Stewart are all believed to be close to dropping out, with the latter last night urging MPs to lend him their vote".
