The red card was to cool off Real Madrid best effort in the game..
As usual Barcellona need the bad referee decision to go throw..

Since Mourinho was signed by Real, how many games did Real played against Barcelona and managed to end with eleven players?!

You see he did learn something from his time in the UK!

lol Euler.

His teams are always very agressive. I'm sure he must have learnt something there, but don't get too proud on that. :) I read his biography and it stated Sir Bobby Robson (at Barcelona!) and Phil Jackson to be the his main influences. The rest is hardwork, skills and being really self motivated and competitive.

I loved it, fantastic compelling match

OK, so it wasn't amazing football, but there's something riveting at seeing a sporting occasion becoming so gladiatorial and confrontational like that

Sadly the game was the usual joke and I have come to expect this charade when Spanish...atcually European teams play. It seems that diving, rolling around, imaginary card waving is part of the culture in football. I just hope English players don't catch up.

As for last night I had no favourite in the game but the winners should now be known as Farcelona as they manage to con and cheat all teams they play. It is such a shame because they have outstanding players and in Messi they have the best player in the world. Despite their talents they still dive, roll and feign injury at every opportunity.

Alves rolled around like someone had severed his leg. He was carried off on a stretcher and then as soon as the Real Madrid player was sent off and play resumed he was running around like a spring chicken. It was a total disgrace and UEFA/FIFA have to change this ASAP. I have had harder knocks from old ladies bumping into me in the supermarket!!

They will always be known as Farcelona to me from now on!

I agree with you jolly...Farcellona is one of the best team in football history but, only managed to play semifinals by cheating the game. You may remember only this1 but, I still have in front of my eyes the semifinal against chelsea in the 2009 and the return leg against inter milan last year. I think mourinho is right when he says they have no chances against farcellona and their power in football..I dont fancy Man utd but, I am going to be man utd best supporter for one day as long they beat farcellona.

Agressive tackle, but didn't even touch Dani Alves!

This is the power that Mourino has over people, if it was any other manager you'd probably accuse him of whingeing and say they'd have lost anyway due to Madrid's negative tactics. The man should be a hypnotist!

How can he complain about anything when he uses more underhand tactics in an average month than most managers in their entire careers!

I agree It's a game that they all play,

It' s not like Real are innocent in this,

they do exactly the same week in week out.
Cheating, Diving, faking injury and trying to get players sent off has unfortuantly become a part of the game.

Interesting that Real Madrid, Barcelona & Schalke all lost this weekend after their Champions league semi finals.

Do we expect an early goal tonight? I suppose we will just have to wait for the team sheets. However I also wonder if it might be worth a small punt on a red card after last week's shenanigans.
