Two card Mons and Tues in the summer are always tricky as they are generally low quality affairs spread out over long time periods. So you need to be much more cautious on these days. Should pick up a bit from tomorrow.

Cheers Peter, now you've said that I looked back and most of my losses have come from Mondays or Tuesdays. Will be cautious for the next ones and get back on track tomorrow!

BTW, Summer jumps racing is much weaker than the flat racing.

On days like these, you don't aim to trade massively, keep stakes and ranges small.

When in a greened up profit range take it. Its the downside of trading, heavy going for small profits.

Do what I mainly do on days like today when the racing is poor, take the day off and look at the comments later.

Is anyone finding this incredibly difficult today? Really thought I'd come on strides the last few weeks and yesterday was my best ever day trading horses but today is laughable.

You could of put a child in my spot today and they'd have done a better job.

It's been tricky recently for some reason, maybe after Betfair release their results the markets will get better again. ;)

Heres one for Euler, 7.20 Kempton, I backed Extra Noble to win £83.25.

Result dead heat, Betfair only added winnigs of £4.26, as both a retired journalist and accountant, having checked betfairs rules I cannot find any reason for this.

Your comments would be greatly appreciated before I take this further.

Thanks but I've done that.

Stake £75.00/2= £37.5 x odds-1 (2.11-1.00)=£41.65

£41.65 - (stake£37.5/2) £18.75 = £22.90 not £4.26

Please tell me I'm doing something stupid here. :?:

For regular readers of this thread, I'll tell you now I don't like the look of the card tomorrow. Looks very tricky.

I noticed that the Mad Bomber was back this evening. He seems to have been turning up quite frequently lately...
