I wasn't aware of these markets?sionascaig wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 7:24 pmAnyone else experiencing probs with First To Score markets for ManU & Brentford?
BF have experimental markets up atm as changed the rules so get money back if a player does not start...
Seem to be getting an api issue and player names not displayed properly.
Will be raising with BF tomorrow so any other feedback appreciated.

First To Score (one winner), To Score & Cards (many winners) markets...Euler wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 8:16 pmI wasn't aware of these markets?sionascaig wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 7:24 pmAnyone else experiencing probs with First To Score markets for ManU & Brentford?

Current rules: place a bet & if a players scores or gets carded you win
New rules: the bet only stands if the player "starts"
Under the current rules, if a player did not start but came on for a few mins your bet would count.
Note: the Premiership markets stay open for duration of game but that's not always the case for other leagues / comps under "current" rules but are suspended under "new" when match goes inplay..
At present BF are trialling the new rules on selected games which are clearly labelled with text "check the rules" included.
So under the new rules you don't need to wait for the team selection to be sure if a player starts.
(also far fewer selections than before & now have the option of "any other player" which is new.
I did post something a while back about xmas time to say cards are up 50% this season (and market prices hadn't caught up)!
==> very similar situation to your previous season post on goal numbers !
Anyhow
- for whatever reason in both of the "new" First To Score markets tonight one of the selections just came up as a number (not a player name) & the BA watchlist had problems displaying the full list of players (just got a truncated selection) & my bots failed to set SV's (partially) & run properly.
- I've seen this before when BF remove a player and/or add another so probably just that.

Just checked tonight's West Ham First to Score (FTS) market and it looks fine on BA atm. Suspect when BF add "Any Other Scorer" we will have problems... If so will raise a support issue?

Comparably, I gave Liverpool 0.20 xG adjusted, before the goal..
------
After the goal, a little more reasonable.

OK I confess to not being a student of such things as xG, I use my own algos but I can't see how the xG for Liverpool can possibly be 0.49 AFTER they scored a goal! Surely after the goal is scored their xG must be 1 + 'something' or does xG live in complete denial of actual goals scored?wearthefoxhat wrote: ↑Wed Mar 05, 2025 10:05 pmComparably, I gave Liverpool 0.20 xG adjusted, before the goal..

xG is based on chances created rather than goals scored. So a speculative effort goal from outside the area might generate 0.1 xG while a missed penalty might create 0.8 xG.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Thu Mar 06, 2025 8:24 amOK I confess to not being a student of such things as xG, I use my own algos but I can't see how the xG for Liverpool can possibly be 0.49 AFTER they scored a goal! OK, so the only way I can resolve this in my mind is the xG is saying this is from 'now' until the final whistle in which case we are both rightjamesedwards wrote: ↑Thu Mar 06, 2025 9:16 amxG is based on chances created rather than goals scored.
