try not to think about how much you're up Derek, remember euphoria can be deadly and money is just a commodity ;)

Some big liabilities rolling up on Gordon Elliot with 2 good chances and very well punted horses to come at Perth.

Should make for an interesting end to the Perth card.

Is there a way in guardian if making sure a rule doesn't back at certain fixed odds, for example place a back between 4.0 and 8.0 but do not ever place at 5.0?
Have you considered having two rules instead of just one - one that can only fire in your lower range under 5 - and the other in your upper range above 5 ?

I was just thinking it's wasn't a bad day for Monday, when I realised it's Tuesday - with Ipswich to start off the new month. :D

Yesterday's favourite action at Goodwood, apart from there wasn't really any action. Returns to £100 stakes.

Good - 13:50 - Back to open @ 8.60 to 8.60 for 0 ticks & £0.00
Good - 14:25 - Back to open @ 4.80 to 4.70 for 1 ticks & £2.13
Good - 15:00 - Back to open @ 6.80 to 6.80 for 0 ticks & £0.00
Good - 15:35 - Lay to open @ 1.74 to 1.92 for 18 ticks & £9.38
Good - 16:10 - Back to open @ 3.30 to 3.05 for 5 ticks & £8.20
Good - 16:45 - Back to open @ 5.10 to 4.90 for 2 ticks & £4.08
Good - 17:15 - Lay to open @ 5.30 to 6.20 for 8 ticks & £14.52

First at Goodwood is interesting today because Lil Rockerfeller has no flat form but is favourite. He switched from flat to jumps because he hated the stalls. The race has a flip start so he should get away. But quite an unusual race when he is surrounded by form horses. You just have to hope the handicapper has the price right or wrong depending on your view on the race. Looks quite short, but I'm no form expert especially when it comes to crossing from one code of racing to another.

His odds might have more to do with the jockey than the horse
